Just a note, we're still taking new folk. PM me for hearthsecret. We're not gunning to be the biggest or best settlement nearby but we've got a pali up and are doing well enough for ourselves, besides lacking a good clay source. Message me for hearthsecret, new guys welcome!

How's everyone doing? I'm doing quite well after deciding to return to my settlement. No problems so far with the near claims. I can't find carrots, pepper or poppy flowers, but everything's going fine. Soon I'll be able to build a minehole, I don't know if there are minerals below me... I guess I'll prospect soon :)

I decided to play this a bit again, and look what I found within about 10 minuets?

Wow grats on the soon to be minehole dude, that's always a big milestone for a hermit.  Remember to wall it in first though, because people can and will come up through your minehole into your house.

That outer line you can see on the minimap is our fully completed brickwall.

Me and a freind decided to visit brodgar since we were told it was under attack, suffice to say we got attacked when we ran in to try and stop the attack.  After some talking and blows exchanged that did nothing to anyone we decided to just all be freinds and have a party.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
we get called in to help a friend, and I learn how maniacally fun 2vA full village can be for the two.  I think it was a 5v2 in all reality but we were kinda getting swarmed by alts and dudes with swords so I didn't have time to take many pictures.

Wow, that's awesome!

In other news, I've completed the minehole. I made a wall surrounding it, double layer to the outside because I've always seen how people tend to ram the palisade surrounding the mineholes. This way they have to destroy two walls to get inside!

However, I believe no one is coming from the deeps... just see the screenshot XD

I'm using Ender's client, there's an option to allow zooming with the mouse wheel.

Downloaded Ender, ran the game. All is working, but movement switch toggler doesn't work. I mean different speed selected, but character walk same speed. Standard client - same thing. And ctrl-R cycling doesn work either. Whats wrong?

Edit: I need to eat less :D

Recently found metal ourselves, initially copper, then found out there was a tin node like... meshed with the copper? So now we basically have naturally occuring bronze. So that's nice.

I think I'll join you guys in this game one way or another. I'll send a request for the hearth secret but in the meantime I'll make a character and get started on getting a feel for the game. I haven't played in a while so I'm a little rusty.

I've been sorta itching to play this again, was there some kind of artwork upgrade or custom tile support added? Some of these screenshots look much better while others look the way I remembered. Sorry if this has been answered, I went back a few pages but there are quite a few of them, lol.

That would be Daji's graphics mod.

Yeah for anyone that doesn't have it, get Daji's graphic mod. He doesn't have a lot of screenshots in the thread, just individual assets but it is amazing looking, as much as I enjoy jorb's stylized stuff Daji has him beat by a country mile.

Bloody Russians!   :'(

Two of the Reds in Necro cloaks found me on the river, pinned me between their boats after a long chase, then climbed aboard and started to wallop me. I jumped ship and they followed, naturally, because their hearts are all black and Putin teaches them only hate. :P

I don't know what they were saying between themselves (since I don't read bastardized, uncultured barbarian Greek) but whatever it was that transpired, I was thankful to find myself alive and with most of my belongings intact after they took my boar and removed my poor little rabbit slippers, dropping them at my feet. Some sort of high Siberian insult, no doubt!
