Nope, random guy with buddies.  Me and Sensei were first attacked by axe guy, but we lived because he had no murder skill.  But his buddies do...

Welcome to MMOs >: I've frequently said "The only thing wrong with MMOs is the MM" people will get into groups of marauding asshats with the sole intention of ruining everyone's day xD

We're currently lacking bone glue. We had enough to build a palisade wall earlier, but apparently it's gone- either stolen, in a REALLY obscure place, wasted on something weird, or someone logged off with it. We also can't build a cauldron because we can't find clay ANYWHERE for a significant distance. More scouting is required.

Send werty892 a message here for it. He's got to give you access to the claim site anyway, since it's his claim we're on.

OK guys. I'm putting my foot down, and we are NOT taking in more people. At least right now. There is simply not enough to go around until we get settled, and the flood of noob chars that cant really do anything and just eat our food is not helping. I will not take anyone else in that has not already spawned in. We have 13 people, and not alot of food, or curios, or anything really, so this is needed.

Once we get the fence up I'd imagine we'll get back to working on food and curios however, so stay tuned!

EDIT: Or maybe not ,we have quite a few people as is. Give it time though.

Ozwald II's day:
I did what I could with crops today, but the fields we "inherited" were mostly non-food crops. Hemp, hops, tobacco, poppies, tea. There is wheat, but until we have an oven, it doesn't do us much good.
A couple of the fields will have to be reclaimed by converting them to grasslands before they can be plowed, I started on that as well. Gives a use for the hemp at least, and I replanted some for the next phase. I replanted the poppies for the curios, as well as the tea because there was only a little of it anyway. I replanted the hops because I really didn't have a place to put them at the time, and I'd not realized they were hops plants before I had my inventory filled. I didn't bother with the tobacco, or half the wheat.
I did plant some actual food though. Please, please please do not eat the carrots or peas if you harvest them (for that matter, please do not harvest them unless you are Girlinhat or me...) they need to be used to replant for a generation or two, we do not have enough. There is a good size beetroot field that we inherited, however. Once it's properly sprouted, we'll get a good portion of food from that, at the very least the leaves are edible even if we replant all the beets. I didn't bother with the peppercorns, I'm not sure if they're any good uncooked.

However, I am getting really hungry so I stopped working this afternoon. Fishing needs to be a priority food source again, or I'll drop dead from starvation trying to grow food for us.
I'll be checking in shortly to see how things have gone horribly wrong.

I am nervous about the neighbors, but willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I have my eye on them, though.

Indeed. We have a good supply of meat now, so we should be good on the food front. Neighbors do seem friendly, they gave us some High Q and good curious. Gerold VII is north of us. He removed the claim over the cave, and plays with 2 other people reportedly. There is also another group going by PK with a unknown amount of people. They both gave us curios, and honestly they I believe that they are scared of us. We have a horde of people, and even though we are all noob chars in comparison, a bear gets taken out by a lot of Bee's, even though bees are much weaker individually. Oven's and such such should come after a palisade. We went for security second last time and look where it got us. The corner post will set at 5:30 AM EST Monday. I'll be on at 6 or so to get it started.

An update after my check in:
Planted pumpkins. Built a second plow.
I can not emphasize enough, do not pick the carrots, please. There is only one plot. Carrots are off the menu for a while. Peas have like three or four plots, same deal there.

I agree, security is job one. After the palisade, a brick wall would be advisable, outside it, once we have the capability.
