Started the game up on Ender client. "bay12" seems to be a valid hearth secret, are we still using that?

Edit: There's a little settlement to the SW labeled "Pupper's Stuff".

I'm just hoping that it means they'll start developing for Haven again.

I hadn't played for a while before the entire salem thing started, but I can imagine that the game was left in a state where there were still enough exploits and problems to make longterm play somewhat frustrating.

I'll hold off if and when they accumulate enough changes/fixes to warrant a new world.

Though for all of you getting back in, I wish you a jolly old time :) I've had plenty of fun with the game in the past.

Play Don't Starve. It's more alive, better balanced, and you don't have to deal with griefers or intentional grinding built deep into the game design.
And it has the absolutely brilliant way of researching new stuff by gathering trash and dumping into a machine. Voila - knowledge! It's like they tried to outdo the stupidity of H&H's curiosity system and succeeded epically.

Now accepting bets on whether Jorb and Loftar will unscrew their heads from their asses to the end (now that the first turn is done) and restore the pre-curio system.
Except Don't Starve has also beaten it to the reverting as well. I played DS a couple days ago and no more is the 'dump junk into science machine, acquire knowledge'. You build prototypes instead out of materials (though they only show up if you're near the science machine or later sciencethings), and then if you have more of the materials, you can make more of your new thing.

I'll start gathering people, tonight I'll brew up a fresh character and let people know my Hearth Secret.  For starters we can just let people jump in near the Hearth, and then we can focus on finding a good location, preferably near a decent lake, or just at a good soil node.

Find a stone axe, possibly a bear cloak (borrow one?) and destroy your Hearth later.  You can respawn at the village totem if your hearth is gone.  We'll just have to get a village made.

So I logged into my old account, and remembered, I had a old char who was reasonably equipped. If you guys go to HS *CENSORED*, You can start were I am. theres some farms, built up walls, etc. There's still a village claim, but its all out of power, so we should be able to scavenge supply's. Or we could rebuild this. Just come on and check it out!

Unfortunately, it's rather difficult to start in an existing, abandoned village.  It requires you to steal everything, essentially.  And if you spawn inside a village, then you have to use Trespassing to leave - a new character would be locked in place.

Right. I'll move my HS outside, so If we want to move I can just ferry stuff out, since I can steal stuff.

Double Edit:Hearth fire is now outside.
TRIPLE EDIT: This place has everything to get away, except for a boat. Chests, coffers, seeds, and plants that we can harvest to get them, tea leaves, a metric fuckton of dead chickens, a little bit of ore, Silkmoth eggs and mulberry tree leaves. This is what we need.
QUADRA EDIT!!!: THERE IS A MOTHERFUCKING CAVE!
