Ok frankly, ya that was a fail, but it's not smart at all to post a spawnable hs in a forum thread.  Either way moving on.  Azakan, do you have a personal minehole/cave?  What q soil?  distance from swamps and mountains?  Also what q clay do you have close access to?  My group is looking to relocate actually.

q40~ Clay.
Minehole is accessable by local village, free access.
I have q36~ soil where my farmland is, but I haven't really looked around.
Swamps are abundant, as are grasslands. Mountain to the south-east, I think.

Sorry I haven't joined up yet. I've been waiting till the end of the week since I've been swamped with work lately. Should be winding down soon, so hopefully I'll be up and running in the village this weekend.

I played this game quite a while ago, several worlds back with the old LP system...made a new character just now. I have no clue where I'm at, but I'd like to join some others if possible. Username Kargaroc and character name Helmaroc. I'd appreciate any tips for starting out as well.

So I just died to a rather stupid trick. Anyone willing to put up with a new character of mine in a village while I get back on my feet?

This thread made me try the game out. I'm currently wandering the forests.

I'll definitely take people in and help them out, only problem is that i am neither the LS or CT, but exceptionally highly rated in the village, a number of people have already joined on my referall, send me your HS's or tell me if you need to spawn in the village and I'll send back a HS to spawn at.

Hey guys,
My friend and I are relatively new. Only about a month of play into the game now, but it's a great time killer for over winter break or when we have free time here in Korea at our public schools. Was hoping to join a city for a little protection, as getting killed by some random guy just because he felt like practicing his sword work on me has soured my mood for playing the hermit role with my buddy. Especially since making our own palisade near crappy clay doesn't sound like something I'd like to stick to. Think you could let in a couple newbies who'll put in plenty of effort?
I'm new to this kind of game, but it keeps me entertained. My buddy is a Dwarf Fortress nut who loves micromanagement, so I know he'll be solid addition.

If H&H had a proper hunting system I'd go back. I know it doesn't aim to be realistic but.. Building a fence around something and throwing stones are it forever because bows are stupid is just not fun and totally breaks immersion.

That fencing tactic doesn't actually work anymore, even foxes can break fencing now.  And some decent MM will prevent the throwing stones taking forever, but yes at low levels it DOES still take awhile.

How do people hunt stuff like bears now then? Grinding weapon skills forever then meleeing it with 4 other people? I'm pretty sure bows still suck :S

It goes something Like shoot the bear from a river until it runs away, jump onto land taunt it back to water, shoot again, rinse and repeat.  There's actually a good chance of dieing now.

Ehhh I guess its still silly then. Thats the same stratefy from before since bears could break fences before. H&H is probably the only game in which hunting is actualy harder then real life :P

If you shoot when it twitches it won't run.

Even when they broke fences you could abuse the fact they didn't run away through them (only when pathing to the player) and keep them pinned to a shore line while you sat off shore and fired. Don't know if that is still possible now.

Me and my brother are looking to join a village.  Would someone be willing to send me a code to join a village?

Thank you!
