Well my village is going quite well, we have 12 people including the not-so-active and 6 core players that are active for a number of hours a day.  However the less active people happen to be the farmers so we are stuck with 4 hunters a miner and a forager.  Maybe someone would like to trade soon, we will have an idol in about 24 hours.  Also, anyone looking to join would be welcome, provided you don't just stand around stat grinding all the time or steal from the town.  We all ready had to deal with 2 thief's.

Let me know when y'all get your idol up. When we eventually get ours, we can trade between our cities. :)
Our idol is now up and operating for trade, would you be interested in trading soon?

Looking into this. I'd be interested in joining up with one of the B12 villages, provided you don't mind me being a complete newb trying to muddle my way into competence.  :P

Well, my village has about 12 active people, 4 of which are bay12.  We have steel already, and a brick-wall corner post.  As well as all the other metals, and a silker.  And q33 water.  I'd be happy to have you, provided you send me a bit of info on your experience in game, whether or not you'd be spawning here or teleporting, ect.

I normally would have you, but having to manage a fairly large village already I don't have time to really train people.   If you are ok with not getting too much help then I'd be glad to welcome you.

Eh, might try again if its a new world. Gonna go for the crazy lone wanderer hobo approach now. Village life tends to get boring fast :S
Playing solo is harder but has a nice "unreal world" survival feel to it.

Also of note, Kilikan has access to Girlinhat.  And aren't I a precious metal or some sort of gemstone or other valuable resource?  I'm currently embarking to get my farm area properly set up, and maybe be annexing a nearby plot of land for additional fields (hostile invasion imminent).

I would definitely consider girlinhat an object without value :)   On the other hand should she want more land she will have to build outside the main walls.

The village I was in got smashed. I headed north towards the village Girlinhat is with.

Mind sending me a HS to the village, or a screenshot of the area near the village in a PM? I have a boat, some bear teeth, a good haul of WWWs, and other stuff. Otherwise, I'll send you my HS so you can invite me to a party, and thus I can find you.

Greetings Bay12 Hearthlanders :). I'm Zack and I'm from Ehndras's camp. I've been playing there for 8 days now  (alongside with bay 12er Roboboy33 and Ehndras's cousin. Without any sign of Ehndras himself, and according to his cousin, is busy with life stuff. Which is perfectly understandable), so far things are moderately fine. With Roboboy33 on the fishing lines,  Ehndras's cousin tiling the farmlands and me on the foraging and hunting, It's a simple life, with high ambitions set by Ehndras's cousin. We don't have any special resource nodes at our disposal, just a nice butter palisade, some farmland, soon to be ready chicken coop and plenty of food (bear meat included), leather, bones as well as forage-ables. Sadly I can't say the same about our neighbours, with skeletons everywhere, camps littered and homes plundered, since last Sunday. I myself included in 2rl hour boat chase beat up, stripped, robbed of everything on me and was sure to be killed if it wasn't for sheer luck that a bear chased em off . I was able to get away and hearth with 1/4 of my hhp intact (Goodbye q37sling and curios). I've been spending the past 2 days getting wool, finishing our timber house,  making the loom, making the gauze and healing with it. One of the surviving neighbours tracked the battery and theft all the way North to a huge settlement named after a terrorist organization and has left the area completely, not before warning me, urging me to do the same. I am however going to stick with this camp for a little while longer and if by any chance that I do get killed (for which I am very certain I will be if I keep being overly ambitious on hunting; those raiders will be back to plunder the area again), I am going to use my re-incarnated character to another bay12 village. (I am current sitting on the LP and in the process of changing the slider down to 25%, it matters because I stopped raising my skills past 35-40, FEP pumping Int, Per and Dex as well as sitting on a nice cache of 95k+ unused lp excluding the ones already spent and curios). So hopefully with that, I can get back straight up into ua\foraging\hunting\sewing\carpentry. If I don't get killed when I do get the slider all the way to max Tradition; I'm gonna strip my character naked, wear a tophat and go bear wrestling, and watch the ensuing hilarity.

About myself: Forum lurker, never registered  or posted here until one day I accidentally registered on the wrong forum tab. Both had SMF layout XD, and yes, INB4 do you play DF, I do play DF, love it to bits. Love rougelikes to bits. So this be my first post. In the previous world 3 and 4. I lived a quiet nomadic hermit life and survived well enough to know my way at foraging and hunting. W3 had so many areas which were great places to live for a nomad ;D. W4 was less exciting but more pvp (with me running away like maaaad despite being clad in armour and some mediocre UA for self defence) action since I bump into raiders\griefers constantly, then it went New World Order under a new socialist rule.. I skipped world 5 mainly because of work. And now with World 6, I actually have plenty of time for it this time. Well maybe, Except Friday nights, boardgame night and weekend evenings for quality time with my woman, family and bros. So if anyone would have me, I want to be not your casual gamer addition to your group. Oh I don't rage easily because this is how this game actually goes.  :P Curse of an overly patient Taurus...

Thanks for reading!

Could someone tell me what this game is about and if it's good?

Survival, exploration, murderous wildlife, crazy/murderous/OP Russians and making villages with friends.

And yes, if you liked Harvest Moon and DF, think of it like a good child of those two.
