Uhm, foragables, ropes, glue, bricks and most food were always sellable, in fact even more after the quality update (though that's mostly due to increase in game's population rather than quality).

I'm thinking about getting back into H&H, now that the new world has started and whatnot.  The few times I did it in World 4 I ended up on my own and stayed with it some two weeks before it just went blah.

Anyway, let me know if I need to create a new account or whatnot and the code to get shunted near the community.  8)

Game's become a min/maxer heaven right now; where before it was only slightly necessary, it's basically required in order for you to maximize your early-game capabilities right now.

1. [Create character, set belief to +1 peace immediately for a simultanious +1 to change]
2. Spawn. If near apple tree and sufficient land, then continue, else abandon character
3. Collect 15 apples from 3 trees, equip torch and clothing so only dream is in inventory
4. Do something else on the computer while leaving the "game" running.
5. Check back every 4 minutes or more to move character slightly and respond to text /feed if necessary
6. [Repeat until you maximize both the change and peaceful slider at the same time by moving peaceful, for the 360% xp bonus]
7. ???
8. Not gimp your character and set yourself up for glorious rewards from curiosity shoveling as you get every one-time experience for maximum effect and zero loss

I'm doing this on a new character right now after i realised "one time" means "this can gimp your character if you don't min/max like the neckbeardiest munchkin D&D player ever" after i did alot of stuff on the day-0 character that's now trapped on a 4-minimap tile island who would be spending even more days trying to get boat making. Best thing is since you hardly move at all your hunger hardly goes down at all, so 15 apples should go pretty damn far.

... Yannow, going peace first would make more sense since it also affects the change slider. Since every change affects... change.

Just so you know, you cant do that anymore. Loftar fixed it so your belief timer doesn't change between inherited characters.. also.. you don't have to/get the lp from rediscovering recipes n stuff.

Is that big Bay12 Village still recruiting? I might wanna get in on it, just gotta make sure of a few things with a friend, and I wanna know who to kin and proceed to follow across the world.

Just started last night, pretty late at that so I haven't even gotten a fence up yet.

Character abandonment is if you spawned in an area that would gimp you; like a desert island with not enough trees to get boat building (and build a boat) I also know you don't get xp from 'rediscovery' of things. That's the entire point of the exercise of maximizing your xp bonus to 360% and only obtaining one of the tree-foods initially; for the specific reason of getting the most xp you can from each first /last /only discovery of an object.

[50/~64xp, compared to 180xp for something that only happens once. it could be the difference between getting across a river or not]

well.. we don't have a over-particularly large unbalance among occupations, so pretty much anything. I suppose another farmer would be good... [we've only just started farming].
But you pretty  much have to go at least a bit into exploration to keep your lp gain up as you start.


fair warning: their is still a bit of server instability as they work out the bugs in the new lp system.
