My main problem was that originally we were only setting up a basecamp, something temp. Sadly due to circumstances due to a few things, We may need to stay here longer...

The wall was to be unneeded to begin with but clearly now we are needing it.
Decision on how to handle the gate leading out will be a problem,

Should we leave trust in the hands of those that are able to log in within the walls... This his highly risky if someone who was attacking logged off there for Grieffing reasons...
Should we have a constant Gatekeeper, committed to a few trusted players as a secondary character that can log on from a Second account for gate opening/closing needs only. This is a Safe move, but relies on the trust ability of those players chosen.
Should we just wall ourselves in on every side but one for now and look for bears and build an Idol so we can Crossroad out... Risky due to the fact that we will need to find that bear quickly...

We can always start outposts for materials but I say that we should make this place our home.

I agree with this. If I can get at least, say... 5 people on tomorrow afternoon, GMT, we should be able to get most of the palisade done. Due to shenenigans tonight, I've got tomorrow night booked for Real Life Dickery, too.

I bolded the answer I thought most appropriate. I think Azkanan, Nano and I should be the ones to share the account. We're all pretty active and Azkanan and Nano are meant to be the village elders/leaders now so I think us three are pretty trustworthy guardians. As for myself... Well... I organised the elections and suggested the pallisade wall and helped build it from the start (felling the first logs) so I hope no-one minds when I say I think I've earned the right :P.

We were Raided cause apparently someone took a boat with a bear in it...
Who died, I want to know...
Two died that day, one of you is the one at fault...

Well if we didn't steal things from them this probably wouldn't have happened. Or it might have been our neighbours that stole the stuff as they flee through our village.

Anyway I think a pallaside is a waste of time, we should be looking for a good location and rustroot.

We have a mine, a friend has checked one of the caves for a Vein, and has found some ore. Finding out what kind it is soon...

(The ore does not show what it is until it is smelted...)

This is home. We can get resources and bring them back but this will be our home.

This is true of all things but soil. Unless we can replace ground soil for crops to grow in? Or did you mean have a farm are elsewhere?

The original plan was to use this area as a base camp until we find a good location.
