Yeah, hopefully they fix lag. Pretty much why I and all my friends I got into the game, stopped playing. WAY too much lag.

Nice, would be nice to get back to building a little hemit place with a little farm, some mining tunnels and enjoy the ride until some random player (or players) decide to put an end to our life...

Okay, on second thought... I think I'll pass. I'm way too stressed IRL to afford that kind of situations.

It's still very nice, though.

The best part with HnH for me is when the server is old and there is tons of stuff abandoned. When its new, its kind of lame lol. And I think sometimes they make the map really small, which makes it too easy to get killed and makes it boring and not able to play as a hermit.

My trick? Do random hearth secrets (have to do a bunch of different variety of words) on the infinite amount of characters you can make until you end up in a good abandoned settlement :D Or just a place filled with supplies, then migrate somewhere else.

Like, I found a huge abandoned russian city (it was on the south side of the map and barely anyone was around)...forgot what the city was called...but it was a while back. I remember doing a random hearth secret and finding a place that had a ton of farms and supplies. Then I took off down south. The map was really big too, so it took a long time to travel.

And the city went all over the place. There was even a few friendly russians living in the city that still tried maintaining the grounds (very nice people, don't even know russian, they were just really nice). Then again, I never had an issue with russian people...so whenever I meet them in-game (like even DayZ, I end up being more friends with russians than americans and europeans who tend to be far more troll-like in that game). I'm always friendly with russians (usually I offer them something too as a little gift to show peace) and they always treated me really nice overall. Anyway, I met the "survivors" of the city and we were good friends for a while, but then they disappeared. I gave them some seeds, and they gave me stuff. The city had a huge underground network, a huge cave filled with metal. It was pretty epic. And for the rest of the server's life, I never saw anyone ever show up :D

Didn't even have a brick wall, just a regular palisade wall (took a long time to make it as it was just me lol). But no one ever came to break it down or take my stuff that was right in the open lol. That was an epic server/map :D I think after that, the maps were a lot smaller and I never bothered to play again lol. That and the lag was really annoying.

Maybe I'm just unlucky. The last time I was killed, it was the day I finally had all the materials to build a brickwall around my little settlement. I was doing something outside, some guys came and one of them one shotted me with a sling from outside my pallisade. No warning, no time to hide, no time for peace offerings. They came, killed me with a single shot and destroyed everything.

Then I founded a settlement to the southwest. It's not the same, though. I can't play HnH without fear or stress... so I prefer staying far away from it.

Mmmnnn... the siren call of this game has reached my ears again. But as usual, tech issues abound just to play the bloody thing.

Ender's client is giving me "connection refused", and the CCLauncher that everyone on the official forum says to use is broken with some sort of subscript error. I even made a run.bat (which didn't seem to be necessary, but god knows how outdated all the info for this stuff is) and still no go.
