What was the HS again? I might try playing this, kind of ran out of games to play lately.

I started scouting southward, got lost, and somehow ended up way north of our starting point.
There's a couple smaller active-looking homesteads, and a large active looking Russian settlement north a ways staking out a big swath of land. North of it by a good walk is a body of water.
The land is pretty much all the crappy conifer forests and less-crappy conifer forests until I hit the water. A few grass clearings, but most of those were not particularly desirable, or were already claimed by the above mentioned settlements.
Unless you know for sure there's a closer body of water than the one I found northwards, we probably should build some carts to transport our loot before we go building boats for it. They carry four containers, but they don't carry boats. Just my opinion, man.

Oh yeah, I'm Ozwald in the village, don't kill me.

I can see lit hearths near me, but no one is nearby.  I'm at the spawn-in site with a half dozen or so hearths.

I really do like these games and would be willing to join in. I played quite a bit of HnH and joined the closed beta Salem, where i was eventually killed by griefers for no absolute reason after i established my own settlement. I quit playing after that. I might get into either of them if you guys are gonna be active.

We went down the lake, try messaging Gyver or ask Ozwald for his HS.

I just remembered what a pointless waste of time this game is unless you are a member of the one? power faction around.
You will leave on the run, anything you build will be teared down eventually and broken into. Trying to log off for my life, losing everything and moving your home once ever 1 or 2 weeks is not my idea of fun. The game has potential, for some select few no lifers that you will never be able to contest (punching walls? come on man..).
Cheers

I will say this has never been my experience. Most of the time our desire to play peters out before we get attacked. Actually, I think being attacked would have been good for us.

I have seen, and been a part of, several B12 groups in HnH. It always follows the same cycle. If you want to try HnH now is the time to do it, because the beginning is so fun. Everyone is working their asses off and nearly starving to death. There is not an apple to be found for 100 miles, and there is a severe clear cut going on. After a week or so the walls and a handful of buildings are up, the first farms are turning over crops instead of just seeds, and people are focusing on advancing the group rather than surviving. During this period someone tames a cow and you have your first live stock, which is always exciting.

After a couple weeks of that though, the group kind of runs out of things to do. You log in and do your "chores." You plug in new curios. You eat the right food. You log out.

That makes it sound kind of bleak, but I can honestly say I deeply enjoyed those first 3 or 4 weeks every single time.

Also in the current state, not many players are left.  It's almost like private servers.

Well I died.
Boar hiding behind a tree.
Didn't see him until too late.
But I led him away from the rest of you, instead of running back to camp and getting you all killed, so that's something.

You sir, ought to reroll and consider "Ender's Client," as it's very handy for that sort of thing.

Indeed, respawn at my HF, I moved it down to our current camp.

Yes. You can Rclick the guy with the silly hat in the starter zone, and enter the Hearth Secret of the player you want to join. MacGuyver is the main one but I think he didn't move it when we changed locations. Use over9001, which is mine.

Yes. You can Rclick the guy with the silly hat in the starter zone, and enter the Hearth Secret of the player you want to join. *CENSORED* is the main one but I think he didn't move it when we changed locations. Use *CENSORED*, which is mine.

I have moved mine, Its above the village, so new players don't get trapped inside. It would be easiest if you guys used mine, since then I could instantly add you to the claim.

EDIT: Can you guys please leave everything that can get picked up INSIDE the claim? We know we are not alone...
