Unless you can dig through the 3 cavern-layers filled with FBs, have a legendary army, make an obsidian trap, yes, you can do it.

Well yeah. It is an upright weapon trap, technically.

Does that mean you can actually link a lever to it instead of deconstructing it?  Then wall in a nice hallway leading from it to your fortress and wire a repeater to the trap and...

No wonder it's down there.
