Is my Magma related dream possible?
« on: January 08, 2011, 06:37:28 pm »

I wanna make a pod with a few dwarfs in it, and drop it into magma, and them survive in the pod, with a little farm and everything.

Boats, submarines, etc, etc are not possible as constructions break as soon as they cave in. Maybe if it was carved out of natural rock...

As it turns out, the pen was in fact a poor choice for melee combat in comparison to the sword.
So I just started playing this game and I accidentally nuked the moon.

I'd say not possible, constructions disassemble when falling. If you carve the pod from natural rock i doubt that it will stay intact on landing. The fluid dynamics would fill the inside with magma anyway.
You could still build it and fill everything with magma afterwards, however.

Toady has talked about adding boats and stuff, maybe rails like for trains.
