I didn't know beasties could spawn from the surface
« on: January 08, 2011, 06:35:42 pm »

Just got a Forgotten Beast, though it may not exactly be "Forgotten Beast." It is a giant humanoid monster with 2 heads. I don't wanna type the whole description.

Though it saves me the trouble of a spam of "interrupted by" messages since he spawned on the surface, from the north. It's time to try my wrestling cannon fodder migrant squad out.

On another note his symbol is the same as the elves. He will be hunted down and dumped into the magma sea for Armok.

Sounds like an Ettin, is the symbol an E or an e?

It is an Ettin.

I had a normal Giantess come from surface one time, and Ettins are quite similar.

Yup an Ettin, took 42 pages to kill it. And the migrants almost let it get away! I thinked it gouged out the same eye of that Stray camel like 6 times though....while getting punched and kicked.

I am currently making my tube of disgrace so I can dump it in the magma. I am also hoping an engraver will engrave its death on the entrance hallway and on the walls of a few rooms.

Be warned! Here thar be dwarves!

Yeah, it's not a Forgotten Beast, it's a Megabeast.  Civilisation killer!

It's not even a megabeast, it's a semimegabeast. Bit smaller.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

There are many more monsters like this one, including Titans, Forgotten Beasts' closest relatives.  ;D
