It is pretty clear he meant Crazy like Jared this topic.
There, that's fixed.

As for the rest. Meh, I've lost interest in this topic, to be honest. We've all said our bit, even those more extreme bits, so yeah.

Nothing to do with it? 6 of his citizens were murdered including a Federal Judge and a Congressional aid, with the attempted murder of one of his own party's elected representatives. That has PLENTY to do with him. I can't think of a president in history who would NOT speak on this matter.

Not to mention that he's, you know, the president. It's kind of implicitly part of their job to speak about nationally-relevant events.

Damned if he doesn't, damned if he does. Fun times being the boss ain't it?

And yes, this is of national interest.  2 Reasons:
1) A Federal Judge was shot dead.
2) An Elected Congressperson was nearly shot dead.

Technically, they are both high up their in their particular branches of the government.
It is not a good sign when decision makers, high authority figures of their station are getting assassinated.  It would speak volumes more if the President just ignores such a momentous event.

I am not a fan of the president, more specifically, a fan of the direction I perceive him currently taking the US, but he is the President.  I still honor the title and man.  I am glad he spoke about the tragedy.  He had too.  Anyone damning him for doing/not doing is politicking a tragedy, which has become the 2nd horror of the week.  And I am guilty of it too.  As a Dallas Tea Party member since March 09, let me say "peace upon everyone".

This so-called, "Memorial Service" was nothing more than a 2012 campaign rally.  I was honestly disgusted by it.  35 minutes of raucous cheering for Obama?  Wasn't this about the people who were murdered by a crazy person?  Even Bill Clinton's post Oklahoma City bombing lasted only 9 minutes and was far more solemn.  I read that his speech was intterupted by the audience with screams of "we love you" and so on, over 50 times.  You'd think that, with the family of the dead sitting on the freaking front row, they'd show a little more reverence.

I thought this poster described it pretty well.  Free T-shirts, University bus advertising, and a snack vendor?  Sheesh... even in light of a terrible tragedy this guy still can't take the spotlight off himself.

Trying to bring hope to people after a national tragedy.  What a bastard.

Free T-shirts and advertising relating to the event, and a stand from someone who thought people might buy something to eat... yeah, this totally supports the view that Obama is doing something terrible.

Snack Vendor is probably a better alternative then no food at a funeral.

This reminds me of the democratic response to Bush's handling of the WTC attacks.

The t-shirt thing seems a little crass to me though. Somehow I don't want a t-shirt memorializing the assault of twelve people by a madman.

Several newspapers here in New York had Obama prominently on the front page, like he's the center of attention.  Just as I thought.

I think his beef was that the photographers focused on Obama giving a speech instead of the family members. In which case he's the president, of course he'll get more focus. Granted the story should be about the tragedy and the photo should represent that, but when looking on the cover of a newspaper a picture of the president is more engaging than a picture of some family, even if sad and distraught.

It's hard to blame the president for a poor choice on the part of newspaper editors.
