Just engineers, kill them before they report you.

Or murdering the laws of physics?
We didn't murder them. Just... gently violated them a bit.

There's no way they haven't got this place bugged but you're lucky that they don't know what level you're on.
All of the elevator monitors are conveniently missing. This should buy you a few minutes if they go around to check every floor.
This gives you and skippy plently of time to get prepared.

There's a vizu-screen with a materializer here. You've just got to get him to work it for you
since your geneticode's been kicked from the system.

Yeah, so get too it TQ-Whatever. Materialize some ammo and a materializer to materialize with on the go and
maybe something useful.

"Yeah, about that...I've kinda been...kicked from the network."

He's joking...Right!

"Ha Ha...No. I got kicked and assigned for responsibility training before we left Zerblex-14, heh."

For the love of Chi Naur just Jury rig it then!

"Eh, it's more of a software issue really, and I'm not good with that kind of thing. I might be able to
cheer you up with a muffin if we asked nicely fro some spare batteries."

Holy fucking Glox he's serious this is the stupidest thing you've ever heard. Neither of you can use a vizu-screen.

That's right, you done got got by continuity. Except for TolyK who apparently saw this coming.

You're traveling in a ship that can travel at 5,000 times C with minimal time distortion.
Physics is collectively a pile of acid stripped bones in a shallow grave under your petunia garden.

Also I'm Streaming if anyone wants to watch me try to paint far a few hours

Then take that one's partner, gag him with the nearest gag-type thing, and order him to access the terminal, be wary that he doesn't try to alert the guards using said terminal.

Preferably using the "device used to ensure silence" definition of gag.  Although the other in conjunction would work just fine.

There's no time to lose.

You go to the closest engineer and choke and grab them with your hands.
You have to, your scarf is back with the legless cyborg.

You give the engineer the option of helping you use the vizu-screen or death.
Fortunately, she is immediately compliant to your request. Something seems familiar about her too.

With your hands still clasped over her mouth you lead her back to the screen.

"Jebex! A level 9999-Janitorial engineer, I didn't even know they went up that high."

Obviously, your crew only tolerates the highest calibre of janitorial staff. TQ-02 is a nincompoop.
Besides, there's work to be done and your lives are at stake. There's no time or questioning
things in your favor. Now, what supplies do you needs before you pull up the massive overmap of the complex.

"Batteries! I need batteries for my arm!"

TQ-02, always thinking of himself. You let him have batteries.
You let him have an eight pack of batteries. Naturally, you throw them at him.
TQ-02 is an inferior juggler in addition to being a useless engineer.

Try really hard to pretend it's Monday!

I haven't been sleeping normally so It was hard for me to get the Monday schedule.
I'm glad I worked on this though. Gotta keep this story rolling.

I think we might be at 1500 images, or slightly past 1500 images, or just shy of 1500 images.
I'm not sure but it seems like a cool milestone.

Alpha make self circlet, put on head, smile happily, reminice about past in side-panel flashback about your first circlet.

I'm gonna call railroading, and frown Robocorn.

Nah, there's been a severe lack of good input for a while. The fact that he's still going strong like this is commendable.

Build a shield, then get back into the elevator, and clear that hallway A-Team style!

Both of these, also materialize the psiotonin last, as they may have the system rigged to alert on any attempts to make it.

Now that he's got his batteries it's time for you to ask for things. You could really use a new circlet about now.
It feels like so long since you've had one. Even though it's only been a couple of hours.

"And a sweet van! We need a van!"

What?

You got your circlet and, oh dammit, what the hell hostage?
Why is the hostage listening to TQ-02?

"...because I have such great ideas?"

You seriously doubt that.

You fail to see how a light land vehicle that will probably interfere
with the artificial gravity and give away the your position will help
you get to your psiotonin reserves more quickly.

"Have you tried asking for psiotonin reserves?...whatever those are?"

Of course you haven't. It wasn't on the roster whn you were supreme leader
and even if it was there probably would be some weird restriction on it
and furthermore...

Whaa?

A half litre of psiotonin is in your posession. In retrospect it might have been easier to
do this instead of murdering scores of your own crew. What's done is done anyway.

I'm sure nobody wants to hear about how I didn't get any sleep during midterms and had to crash last night and
do the Wednesday update on Thursday. I'm sure everybody is more concerned with the potential return of mind bullets.

I actually had to go back and make sure that I didn't forbid this specifically, but it looks like all the
relevant suggestions involved finding it in the walls or sucking it out of guards with bendy straws.
I'm beginning to wonder why I didn't leap at the chance to incorporate the latter.
