You've raised the dead before, you can do it again. Repair the house as well.

No.

You've taken a life.
A crawlie investigates
The tears do nothing

Tears were essential to resurrection before: "Glowing tears of cyan light."  Something is different.  Best to try another approach, and not one with diplomacy tarts either.

. . . Okay, all I can think is to compliment the crawlies on their dashing appearance.  This is not good.

How about teaching them proper speech so you can understand them?

This is going to turn out as us becoming their slave, granting them all of their wishes. Like an immobile ant-queen, unable to move, taken care of all the time, in theory a queen, but in essence a slave.

Greet the Three Wise Mites
Offer them a tasty tart
Before, not on, them

They start chattering.
You try to teach them your tongue.
Like you did before.

You greet the crawlies.
You conjure them a fresh tart
You wait for response.

They do not respond.
But you can hear their voices
You must have screwed up.

The third is afraid
He wants to call the army
There's a disaster.

The second cries "help"
Grandma's house is burning down.
What is a grandma?

The first is baffled.
"Does this have gluten in it?"
"I am allergic"

Apologize, then go save the grandma, whatever that may be.

It looks like we need to spread the word for us to do any necromancy. Tell them who you are, promise to give them three wishes if they cooperate.

Conjure a new grandma, along with a small translator to put in your sound-receiving hole.

Uh . . . dang, this is not an easy situation.  Do whatever would advance the plot in the most tragic and comedic way as possible.

And isn't it about time we switched to another character?  Maybe in a few turns?
