I'm just asking. I don't have much experience with ballistae and friendly fire works for other things. If you know otherwise then I believe you.

Ballistae ammo skewer ANYTHING on it's line of fire, whether it's a friend or foe.

So skewered elves/gobbos are to be expected, along with one unlucky dorf or two.

Clearly now all we need added are dogs with bees in their mouths and when they bark they shoot bees at you. Thus we can release them along with the dogs & bees themselves when unwelcome guests come to your fortress.

And then lock the door.

Can I fire ballistae from a distance?
Well much wasn't done but I managed to trade. The outpost lialision or whatever died by goblins. An artifact was created. (I'm putting my own drawn pictures of the artifacts up here when I have the time.) I didn't dorf Gutanoth because I forgot and when I did remember and started doing it I got interrupted. So I'm half done. And Urist the Dodecaphonical grew attached to his pick and killed a wolf with it.

You fought 2 wolves. 1 attacked you a few times and then fled with no injuries to her and a few bruises to you. Then the other one bit your tooth off, bruised you, then you dealt your 1st blow and separated him from his leg. He then bruised you again, you hit and caused major injuries to him. Then he bruised you once more and you knocked his other leg off of him. Then you sliced through him with your pick, separating his body in 2.
I think you used your mining skill.
Oh and I'm sorry Gutanoth. No untaken dwarves have any of those skills. And no untaken dwarves like any kind of blue or any kind of blue items. Neither cobalt. No blue eyes or ANYTHING either. Sorry!

I figured this might have been a bad idea... I'll get rid of them and pretend it didn't happen. I'm 13 BTW.
