Or am I really stupid?

Today I came back to DF after a long hiatus (and a lot of Minecraft), and I downloaded the latest version from Mayday (31.18). I plugged in my favourite mods and started up a new world. After some confusion in world gen, I embarked at a new site and went about normal business. When it finally came time to try smelting some iron bars... I find out that the options simply aren't available at the smelter. It seems that I have the options to smelt all the multi-ore reactions (brass, electrum, etc) but no single-ore reactions (iron, copper, silver, etc). I definitely have the necessary ores and fuel. I checked the raws and they all seem to be lacking the basic smelting operations - my modded raws, my pre-modded raws, and raws from a fresh download. I cheated in a smelter reaction for iron bars and I got "rock bars" instead. What's going on here?

Sounds like duplicate raws to me.

I backed up my raws in a "backup" folder - apparently this was stupid?
Can I fix this by just deleting the backup raws or do I have to generate a new world?

Back on topic... I say that you should reinstall or have just one mod , perhaps they will interfere on something
