Raborman was right. We busted open a vault and found some weapons, and a lot of coins, which I *was* planning to spend on junk at the Goblin party.

Ah, here's the update were it happened.

I kind of worry that we might eventually get in trouble with the Dwarves for plundering their old fortress. The ones living with the goblins are from or have some connections to the fortress, don't they? Or am I misremembering that? I think they at least wanted to reclaim it. So I'm wondering how they'll feel about us trying to pay for stuff with coins we found in the fortress.

Well, if challenged legally, I can invoke salvage rights-since we went to the trouble of retrieving them and reclaiming an abandoned fort, all goods and valuables located therein are ours.

On the other hand, our legal ownership of the fort is unestablished, and I qoute...

So it could be argued we are merely trespassers, and Dwarven property remains Dwarven property no matter how much time has passed.

If they have no living blood relatives that can rightfully claim treasures, though, I can probably succesfully argue they have no claim-after all, just because it was made BY some Dwarves doesn't make it the natural property of all living Dwarves just because they want it at the time.

Of course, if they wanna just go ahead and kill us all and take it by force, well, I'll leave that issue to Kadzar...

If the dwarfs and goblins start complaining they've got a lot more to worry about than they probably think they do.

Urist lived in the fortress as a child and holds what is most likely the ring of keys to the cotton candy door. I'm pretty sure thats all the elves know about his connection to the fortress. I have updated the gamestate posts and am rolling now. Aiming to post 'morrow or monday.

Well, looks like Pillow Killer is doomed.

I hope I can at least extract a weregild and perhaps a portion of his body for burial. Then I can sleep at night. :)

Just because he was fed mysterious ant puke doesn't necessarily mean that he's dead for sure.

Does my character know exactly how prescient the Blood Man is, or are magical abilities something that manifests in different forms for different Blood Men, and there's no way of knowing?

Deep Elf lore sugests the Bloodmen are capable of reading the past and probable future, a feat not even a dawnelf could achieve. There used to be several living among the deep elves as prophets, advisors, and sometimes nobility, however they were all driven out shortly before Zrallins birth for declaring that Elfkind would lose the great war.
