Seem's like we got everyone, if you count Vorthon storming off as an action... lol

In the interest of conversation Weirdsound, is it going to be possible to buy equipment from the Dwarves and Goblins next turn that increases our skills in certain area?

Non magical equipment cannot affect skills; However the right gear can lower the threshold for success/failure on an given action.

Lets say for example Dusk and Disaed go into the caverns to gather branches. Dusk Uses his dagger, Disaed uses a saw he found somewhere...

Disaed would have to roll over 7 on a 2d6 + Gathering roll. Dusk would most likely have to beat an 8 or 9 depending on how merciful I'm feeling at the moment. Of course in all likely hood Dusk's obscene gathering skill most likely allow him to gather more branches than Disaed anyways, but that is beside the point.

I'm gonna give Vorthon till I go to bed tonight to post a better action, after that I am liable to roll the next turn at any given time.

Damn straight, obscene gathering skills FTW!

Next turn I'm gonna see if I can hold a gathering class, so the party wont up and starve while I'm away...on my quest, because its likely to happen.

Just wait until night and spend a 12 hour turn gathering. Unless you roll snake eyes (Automatic fail), or I find some reason to apply a penalty, you literally cannot fail a task of average difficulty with a relevant skill of 5 or higher.

We've got a somewhat large-ish pile of fungi and meat that has yet to rot somehow. Unless something stupid happens, we shouldn't die from a couple of days without our uncharismatic forager.

Okay. I've updated the character sheets and fortress supply to reflect the results of last turn. With any luck we will have an update tomorrow.

I'm going for the 'crazy old man' type of character here... I'm composing a long-winded speech which Dhaekh will rant at the dwarves at the party...

I'm learning...

And wouldn't have Dhaekh's teaching dwarves metalcrafting have influenced the development of their language?

Unless these dwarves only know goblin...

Is it possible to train in the animal avatar perk to make it better in some way without an outside force improving it? On a related note, can dawnelves improve their experience perks since they presumably can't learn new ones/forget the ones they start with?

The answer to both questions is yes, but not in a time frame that this game is likely to cover. Sorry I didn't get around to posting today. Hopefuly I'll have the damn thing up tomorrow morning.
