Well following. This seems interesting. I am reminded a little of Pax Imperia. If you have never played, it might be worth a while to take a 'research' break, as it was a great game that threw randomised civs at you, each with there own ship designs. Designes did, however, rely on preset items that could be added to such ships.

Of corse that would make for an interesting way to produce randomised ships, if your up for it and think it would benifit the system. Rather then starting with random ships, start with random parts, such as generating an array of thrusters with there own stats, such as acceleration, top speed, feul usage and size. Then add a number of randomised missles, and randomised sheilds, and then with there size, make them fit into a hull size. The fun thing there would be that a single entity could be using the same missles on a few of there ships, giving them a distinct style, rather then just numbers.

Although I'm not one to hijack a project, I'm sure you has a vision you wish to achive.

It's a thought, but might be too complex.

I'll look up the game though.  Need something to play.
Edit: Blub.  Runs on an Apple II!*  Arg.

*Or able 1a.  I can't tell.  Really fucking old, and I never owned one.

Cool thing here. Kinda confused why it went from proceedurally generated duel mobs to triangle finding, though.

I've played more turn-based strategy than real-time, so I guess so.

The best real time strategy games aren't limited to simple unit triangle tactics, that gets boring fast.

number of triangles. Why should it be restricted to only 1
triangle to a game? Why just triangles when we have fun
shapes like decagons and trapezoids?

No! Then you take 5 of those circles and put them inside a square and fit two squares inside a rectangle. The rectangle is the game!
