From a GDC panel listed on the schedule, Generative Audio in THIEF

"Innovative audio has been at the heart of the original THIEF titles and Eidos Montreal's new THIEF is no exception, this presentation will mark the first time that the game has been spoken about publicly"

Not much more yet but it is now a thing.

It's been known for a while it was in development. Interested to finally hear some details though.
