Just over a decade I think, then a titan came and I realized I had no military. Poor Catfist...

Think of it like Sim City, except with rival mayors that seek to destroy your citizens by arming legions of homeless people and sending them to attack you.

3 years, I believe. I then realized I settled on a Wilderness embark, not an Untamed Wilds one, so I insta-abandon'd. (I really want to catch some Tigermen.)

It isn't a new Dwarf Fortress version until we're made to fear some kind of regular creature.  Carp, Elephants, Unicorns, Badgers, and now Mosquitos.  I've got 5 dorfBucks on the next one being plagues of groundhogs.

It was something like 10 years long. I had a triple layer aquifer that I had trouble piercing because I only had 2 soil layers above it. I kept on for a bit, developing strong plant based industries. Eventually everyone noticed I had 3000 socks and wanted in some. Let me tell you, throwing nearly 100 unarmed dwarves at titans and well equipped goblins doesn't kill them, it only makes them stronger.

My absolute oldest is 14 years I think, but it was a megaproject fortress that had invaders turned off...

My oldest regular fortress is probably 7 years, after that I just ran out of things to do/kill, plus FPS was making a megaproject unfeasable.

Mine's about 18 years, i think. Had almost 200 Dwarves, not to mention an a**load of animals, so it was slow, plus there weren't any enemies around, so i decided to finally abandon.

Centration. Similar to Spacestation 13, but in 3D and first-person. Sounds damn awesome.

Five to seven, I don't know.
Apparently some people have forts that are over 500 years old or something like that.

Right around 8 years. Usually by the time I hit 5 years I start to get bored and just find creative ways to kill everyone.

Last 40d fort was 40 years when I stopped playing, give or take a couple.

I seem to have lost the world folder so it looks like it's not going to get any higher.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.
