You might look into the Catwings books by Ursula Le Guin.  It makes more sense than what would be otherwise thought.  I must admit that I've not read them since I was a young'un, but remember them fondly.

As for MLP:FiM, I ran across it back in around March when the EvE crossover image was spreading about.  Ran across it again when news about the DF mod came about.  Was able to escape the madness up until about a week ago when I randomly ran across a thriving hive of bronies.  Somehow ended up facing the list of episodes and ended up devouring them while going wtf at myself.  Proceeded to watch a ton of FMV/YTP and found the awesome selection of music derived from the series.

ED has very much appropriately labelled this as a cancer...  One that happens to taste of cotton candy and exploding chocolate milk.  Can't really say that I care any more. :P

Goes back to reading S:E while listening to his growing playlist of fan music...
