I don't relate well to the notion that everything is "supposed to be" a certain way. We "have to" do this, this is the "right way" for things to be. Especially when the "supposed to be right way" is so dreary.

I think that were I in the position of the human in this story I would not have so easily accepted the resolution. And it seems unlikely to me that Celestia would have been very firm on insisting that he stay in his own world.

But the author has a belief that his life is "supposed to be" gray, dreary, and unfulfilling. So much so that he's grateful for the opportunity to have had time in the rainbow light, and is willing to live out the rest of his life unfulfilled, dwelling only in memory and feeling lucky that he got to be happy for a time. I reject the notion that it's somehow more "proper" that life be this way.

Life can be beautiful and wonderful, and when happiness presents itself, I think it behooves us to accept and embrace it fully, rather than believe that it is transient, or that it's somehow more "proper" to go back to misery.

Looking through my playlist I can't find much that's all that new. This is the newest thing I've added.


These two are probably my favorite songs the fandom have produced. Beyond that, anything by Odyssey Eurobeat is good, along with Makkon and Bagpipe Brony and innumerable others.

Really, just go through all 4 of the remix wars. Don't forget to check out the originals of what was remixed, too.
