I really think there's something... disturbing about shipping ponies.  On a kid's show 

What does the target audience have to do with anything? This is fanon, not canon.

Anywho I think fanon like this (even going so far as the rule 34 stuff) is the natural evolution of a fanbase. You don't have to like it, of course, but it'd be weird if it didn't happen.

I'm kinda confused right now. All these ponies popping up everywhere makes me want to watch at least the first episode. But I'm afraid I might lose my masculinity if I started humming the theme song, that is if I was addicted, in front of a friend who thinks this show is for little girls. I'm also afraid of being potentially addicted to this show.

What do I do?

Also: Losing masculinity? Ha! Real men don't often wear pink, but when they do, they're not ashamed of it. If you wanna be "manly", then be confident in your masculinity regardless of your hobbies or interests.

But I did. You said that shipping, perhaps even porn, is the natural evolution of the fanbase (not fanon, that's something else). I said that while porn is the inevitable one, shipping is not. You need to look at my full post, not just cut it apart by sentences.

Well this all seems pretty pedantic, but whatever. I'm no expert in this sort of stuff, but I dare say it's not much harder to find shipping of stuff than it is to find porn of it.
