She's an immortal god-tier pony. She can probably look whatever age she feels like.

I always figured Celestia was all "Hey Luna, welcome back. Since I didn't get the hint about how having to administrate night made you all bitter and angry last time, how about you take care of it again? Handling both the sun and the moon takes up so much of my time. I have to read all these letters Twilight keep sending me, you know."

That's why we never get to see her, she's awake at night, when everyone everypony else is sleeping.

I bet Celestia messed up the night sky while Luna was gone and she's spent the last six months trying to get Pluto back to the right orbit.

Regarding the toys, Hasbro seems to be making some token half-assed effort to get the toys looking like the characters, but it's blatantly obvious that they don't really care. If you want accurate ponies, you'll probably have to mod them yourself.

..I was going to post this in the General MU* chat topic, but I figured the people reading this would get more of a giggle out of it.
So, it's taken me an hour and ten minutes, but I've just changed everyone's descriptions in my MUD.
I've turned everyone's hard worked original characters into MLP fan characters. I expect a lot of anger from them, but heck. It's April fools and I needed a prank I could pull at short notice.

Of course, I wouldn't have done any of this, if I hadn't read this thread.
Still, should be a laugh. (And, don't worry. While I'm not going to tell anyone else, I did backup the database before doing this. I'm not a fool!)

EDIT: Well, I hate double posting. Maybe someone will read this in retrospect or something. I dunno.

Anyway, it's now not April the first, which means I'm goign to have to think about allowing people the ability to use their own characters again. However, I'm rather surprised to say... It was quite an interesting success. Turned into a non-canon themed event, rather than a shout at Fayrik for being mean session!

Some kind of techno remix of a slew of MLP songs. Much like friendship, it is magic. Sit through the scratchy start, it fits eventually. It's a bit saccharine, but given the show it fits.
