I'm enjoying the sheer controversy my friends are making over it too. Most of my guy friends refuse to watch it on the account of it being 'girly', one guy friends will watch it with me since he also believes you must experience things out of your personality to grow, one girl says it ostracizes men, one says it belittles women, and one guy who won't watch it says it continues to form a division between masculinity and femininity.
I want to ask, without the introduction to femininity, what is masculinity? Does the divide actually cut one section off from their true personality? I recently watched an episode of My Strange Addiction that showcased a woman body-builder who was freaking awesome, both personality-wise and physically. It seems like if you mix both masculinity and femininity into your outward personality, people will give you funny looks. Certainly you can't be a man and enjoy things stigmatized towards women, and vice versa.
Because of this conflict, I want to watch this show. It will be a nice break from shooting Russians, NVA, and Americans over a stockpile of mortars that can only explode from a briefcase filled with two bubbling liquids that must be set off using the world's noisiest keypad with a ridiculously long timer, and yet the briefcase is so important that the other team must not only throw it somewhere where it can be safely detonated, but must defuse it with that noisy keypad in order to safely be thrust into 3-6 other alternate dimensions where they must do the same thing, until they successfully detonate or salvage a total of four briefcases.
