I think that story was actually posted on here earlier. I know I saw it somewhere because I've read it...
Anyway, I agree with one of the comments I read in that he should have been allowed to go back to Equestria with them. Having to lose his only source of happiness and be left with nothing but memories is a fate pretty much equivalent to death, depending your personal beliefs.
This. I mean, Celestia is more reasonable than she was in the story, and at that point she could probably have guessed that he would be utterly miserable for the rest of his life, and I honestly don't think that canon Celestia (and the author appears to have stayed very close to canon characterization) would be willing to cause that sort of pain just as a mild precautionary measure.
Oh god I'm crying. For the first time in ages...
whyyyyyyyy ;A;
I know, right? That ending is so depressing, too. If I was the protagonist, I probably would have killed myself after that.
Where's the depressing part?
He knows that Dash will never remember him, he knows that the best years of his life are over, and he has absolutely no prospects of improving his life or finding happiness now that Dash is gone, unless Celestia cast some sort of spell that will make him happy. The only way I could see taking this another way would be if he was old enough for the normal feelings of a parent after watching a successful child go off into the world would apply, but as he is 35-40 at most, I kinda doubt it. Just an opinion though; I could be wrong.
Wrong. We know that Dash remembers him; she got Celestia to send him the photos. We also know that his life (and in fact the whole world at this point) was pretty damn depressing. The world seems to have gone into another depression, but we also know that it's pulling itself together again. It's one of the more uplifting stories there is. He's got the whole parenthood thing, and trust me, that's not age dependent.
Looking at it in a non-exhausted/bleary eyed with sleep light, I honestly agree with you on this.
Oh god #2.
Okay this looks fairly norm- WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!
So, am I the only one who shuns away those who clop to ponies? I honestly don't think they deserve to be called bronies.
If they want to, let them. I don't particularly care what other peoples' fetishes are as long as I don't have to accidentally look at them every time I go to ponibooru. If they like the show, they're bronies in my book, regardless of what they get off on. Sure, I think it is a bit nasty, but some people would probably feel the same way about
my fetishes
*cough*lolsocks*cough*, and I'd prefer not to be judged for them.
