I say that instead of being avatars of the elements, they instead (accidentally) ritually invoked them for a short period with their actions.

Also, watching the show again with my GF, is Dash ever not a douche?  Aside from brief moments of heroics, that is.

I just realized that in Fall Weather Friends, only one voice actress alone had like...all the speaking parts.  :D

Are there any Pinkie Pie + Fluttershy episodes where they both get like all the parts?

I made a pony Magic: The Gathering deck. It's currently three for three against a rush infect deck, red burn deck, and my brother's white-green big critter deck. Anyone else here play Magic at all?

If you can't tell, the idea of the deck is to get ponies down then buff the hell out of them. A few sneaky tricks like dropping Darksteel Plate on your Prized Unicorns are about all the strategy here :P

Reposting this in the appropriate thread. Also, I have a theory about ponies become cool due to vampires becoming sparkly, this probably old news though.

Not all unicorns have the power of Twilight. If we look onto the only scene where it is revealed unicorns might be better at working than other ponies, Rarity isn't able to do the same as Twilight. She has to carry the apple baskets. We also know from TS' cutie mark story that she has an unusual amount of power (Celestia takes her on herself). All breeds also seem to be restricted to their cutie mark. Twilight can't make dresses, can't throw parties, isn't as good with animals, etc. Just because she can use her power doesn't mean it's always appropriate.
