Everyone just coming up with that stuff because Faust said that Dash wouldn't be good big sister for Scootaloo. Quite random origin indeed.

Scootabuse is just an excuse for pointless sadism based on the utterly most flimsy "canon" support.  She's just a target of opportunity, really.  An otherwise cute one.

Yeah that's pretty awesome.

People say Trixie's just an illusionist and isn't really that powerful, but I say they're missing the point. She can make things look amazing and powerful, and that's what really matters.

It's also implied that she isn't an illusionist at all. She is, quite literally, a less powerful Twilight.

Bah. I've never liked "who's stronger" debates.

Trixie is very good at what she does and that is putting on a show. I doubt she brought along real fireworks or a neon sign of the ursa major that can float in midair. Even her telekinesis is tailored for show, as shown by the snake taming rope thing (whatever you call it). The closest she has to an offensive spell is the lightning cloud, which again, is mostly show.

Twilight's just more practical and thus effective. She doesn't look half as cool, though.

So what else did I miss?

Oh yeah, Scootabuse was just a short /co/ joke. It happened around the same time as Scootachick one.
It's not like anyone really meant it. (at least in /co/, who knows what fanatics are in other parts of the community.)

The whole debate around Trixie and Twillight...

I see trixie as a natural magic user. Yes she likes to brag and talk about doing the (near) impossible but she also defeated everyone who accepted the challange and had the guts to actually stand up to the ursa (while she could as easely use her magic whatnot to flee). Magic related things were easy for her so she became a braggart in the end.

Twillight on the other hand... she was digging into books and studying since she was a little kid and even then most of her magic fizzled at the exam. She got saved by that rainboom... and seeing how she made 0 friends there i can assume she spent the entire time in the library reading books books and more books.
