Bee-based ASCII Art Reward and story.
« on: January 07, 2011, 12:02:56 am »

God I hope everything in this story makes in to the game, I love adventure mode, and running through a mountain sized cavernous bee-hive would be the best thing ever. Just thought I'd share this great story.

UU,.~U~,.\b,.

The adventurers made their way into the hive. Long had the bee women tormented the people of Bodarga. Bram would put an end to this nonsense. The adventurers entered the huge structure through a large hexagonal door. The tunnel turned and twisted at strange angles. Everywhere was the ever-present buzzing of the enemy. Suddenly a bee woman appeared, wielding a stinger spear. Bram let out a warrior cry and charged at her, brandishing a sword. Suddenly his feet sank into the floor. A honey trap!

That would make sense. Perhaps a glimpse into the future of those which make it in?

I sponsored the armadillo and received this for a reward:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I was extremely excited about armadillo men, but then I got to the last line and my jaw dropped.  Is this a sign that the next update may include more than we anticipated?  ;D

Perhaps the animal(s?) that make it in will also come with an animalpeople version.

And maybe a giant version.

regardless, the slime shooter will be completed, come hell or high water, which are both entirely plausible setbacks at this point.

Well toady has the "Humanoid"-template already in the raws. Atm its iirc used for the Underground animal-people but one could speculate if it gets assigned randomnly to different animals on worldgen. This way the elves would have some more devierse slaves companions friends. Also i wouldlike to see more stories about the animals you did choose (i got another part of an alread etablished story from before the animal-drive).

“Call for the wizard,” screamed the goblin leader, scared half to death.

Well, other ThreeToe stories have included magic and stuff; they often represent where 1.0 plans to go.

I posted my reward on the wiki page for ASCII Art Rewards (Coyote man!)

They like to live alone, and will move into less traveled dead ends in your fortress.  Then they'll eat any dwarves they happen to see.
