I think I'll do thing a little differently for tournament 2, maybe split it up between a few tiers or something.

Throw in Alice Margatroid and Equius Zahhak for the next round.
I submit Aya Shameimaru and Utsuho Reiuji instead.
All four are good.

Next fight coming shortly.

Artyom and AC slowly make their way towards each other, Artyom stealthily slipping past his enemies avoiding conflict and gathering weapons, while Axe Cop just hacks through the mutants/commies/nazis/BAD GUYS.
By the time the two get anywhere near each other, Artyom has collected a powerful assortment of weaponry while Axe Cop has fallen back on his axe and blood powers to become Nosalis Axe Cop.

Axe Cop makes his way through the streets, determined to find and cut off the heads of all the bad guys.
A pain in the back of his right shoulder alerts him to his enemy, and he turns while pulling out the knife.
Artyom is intimidated by this figure before him, having seen him tear through the legions of monsters, both human and mutant, as he approached. He pulls another knife, cursing at the bad aim of the first.
Axe Cop eyes the ruined buildings on each side. He knows the assailant is on the left, but there are any number of spots it could be hiding. He waits.

The figure has stopped, letting Artyom get his first clear view of his opponent. He wears a buttoned shirt, blue soaked with red, and a strange black hat. His face is that of a human, but his body is closer to a creature of the tunnels. He hold an axe, and Artyom shudders slightly thinking about what would happen if that axe got anywhere near him. He puts his knife away. This calls for something heavier.

The arrow sends a red, furious pain down Axe Cop's entire body, but that doesn't matter. What matters is that he knows where it came from. The mutant blood powers afforded to him allowing his ears to hear the soft hiss of the enemy's weapon, he runs forward.
Artyom panics. A shot from an over-pumped Hellsing should have at least crippled him, but he's moving like the arrow wasn't even there! Branishing his Kalash 2012, the young man prepares for a closer fight.

The pain is overwhelming. Axe Cop knows that he would be dead if not for the mutant blood, and even with that he feels light-headed.
His axe feels heavy, but it comforts him all the same. Up stairs, left, through the door, his powerful senses both human and mutant guide him.

The creature bursts into his hiding place, and Artyom unloads clip after clip. It staggers, drops to the ground, stays down. Artyom keeps firing.
Only when no ammo remains does he let his arms slacken, his gun drop.

Winner: Artyom!

Next Battle: Giga-Fortress vs Karkat!
Battle conditions will be decided through suggestion/debate.

Welllllll... his combat prowess isn't touched upon much through Hivebent, and he's not one of the trolls who has mutant powers (since his funny-colored blood doesn't bring him anything but shame).

If we're assuming Karkat post-SGRUB, he's liekly got the best sicklekind weapon the game has to offer (so probably close to the most powerful weapon of it's kind in paradox space, though I'm not sure how strong that is), and is a seasoned warrior at the top of his escheladder (though he doesn't have the powers of the fully-realized Knight of Blood).

Other than that, he's a fairly regular guy (relative to his race of murderous psychotic aliens).

He's one of the weaker trolls along with Tavros, Nepeta, Kanaya, Terezi or Feferi. So either he gets some help or he's seriously in trouble.

Realistically, the best member of the Hivebent crew to go up against an intelligent flying robotic super-fortress would be Eridan, since Ahab's Crosshairs is the only weapon they have that could reliably damage it (and that's only if he had his lusus for aerial mobility, so that he could dodge it's giant air-to-surface shockwave weapon)

What is the Giga Fortress like on the inside?

Who do you guys think would be stronger, 12-prototyped Black King of Giga-Fortress?
Just for referance.

I'm going to guess that this is going to be away from water again?

Honestly, the black king hands down. The giga-fortress might be pretty tough, but i doubt it would be able to stand up to super powerful psycic attacks, a legion of flying robots and tons of meteors.

On the flip side, karkat would get owned by the giga-fortress if he was solo (especially since we don't really know anything about his combat abilities).

I honestly can't think of anyway Karkat could take on the Giga Fortress by himself. He is a competent fighter who has taken on some monstrous crap during Sgrub, but he's a melee fighter with no powers. I can't think of any way he can damage the fort, while it can pretty easily annihilate him.

That's kinda hard considering it's a robot. Not all robots are huge and empty inside.
THAT INCLUDES THEORETICALLY.

Hmm. The wiki did say it contains a bridge, barracks etc. as a formality, despite being built to be work by itself. If Karkat can gain access to the servers and systems keeping that thing going and the backups, maybe. Unless it has automated security systems built in to keep people from doing that.
