Hey, raw power isn't everything. Plus to be fair... its not 99%, more like 90 if you count savorak and Imogen. Plus several others. Plus a almost forgotten god doesnt have much power, you gained your power though work, and its only really the slayer that is the power of baal. You can kill the Demon prince for christ sakes, you can kill a monk that resists timestop!
And monks by the way are way stronger. At high levels. IMPROVED HASTE.

Meh, i thought monks couldn't get hasted or slowed due to a class condition? ((and their are better classes then monk, like a dual class 20/20 kensai/theif, or a kensai/mage, or sorcerer, or some others you can break)) ((And yeah, you are right, the main charachter has lots of the gods power, more so then any other)) ((Savorak lots his bhall powers when you killed him in the first game, so he only has a tiny amount that you gave him))
And yeah, a forgotten god would have lots of power within its domain i think, and as long as the domain is MURDER, its pretty hard to beat (ascension mod makes the final boss fight so much more "fun").

Personally, i think that minsc won't even be able to hold a candle to the giga fortress. While (if you allowed him+party) he could do a surgical strike against cain and kill him, he still would lose against the armies if they tried to take them all on.

zergling, time to advance this to the next round, its pretty clear minsc would win, and phantom is just acting raging because its clear his dude is going to lose.

Plus as thingy said. Hitpoints are not really in effect. Lets say... He can withstand a fair amount of damage but damage to the brain... Well 0 int does 'kill' a character. Braindead minse loses I guess...

The Monk cannot be Hasted, which can result in some odd problems when
        you haste your entire party.  While everyone else is running at twice
        the speed and getting +1 attack/round, the Monk is now moving at 2/3
        the speed of everyone else and getting behind.

((nope, haste isn't op on monks since it doesn't work on monks, although they do naturally move fast))
((And monks are awesome, sure, but my duel class theif/kensai had a -23 AC, a -20 THACO (and a -15 THACO with a weapon he had no proficiencies in), able to backstab once per day 9 times per round (with improved haste, he had no problem doing 2700 damage in a single round), and able to summon a simulcrum due to a helm he had with all the same powers he had (although a bit weaker))((the only problem is that he spent the whole TOB until the final battle as someone who was a level 15 theif or so, so he had no epic theif or epic-kensai abilities))
((Also, he wasn't a forgotten god, more of a dead god that knew it was going to die, so it spread out its power to mortal's so that it would be able to come back and be super strong nearly as strong as it was when it died. Also, slight difference between terry pratchet gods and D&D gods methinks.))

So, i think that the consensus is that with a potion of invisibility minsc could just run up to scar and insta-gib him right?

Honestly? You are calling someone who is super strong and deadly game breaking? He would get CRUSHED by the giga fortress no matter what he does, and would get crushed even worse by the different armies that are in the game.

Sure the invisibility is pretty strong in a 1v1, but it isn't nearly on the level of the giga fortress strong.

Minsc would want to kill evil, and he would have no problem turning invisible so he could kill it.
Also, i would assume that scar can't detect invisibility, since i asked what he would do if minsc turned invisible, and then he ranted about how minsc is bs and magic is stupid.

Sure he would notice him, but he still wouldn't be able to see him, and trying to get a headshot on something invisible is near impossible (and even hitting him with a assault rifle would be chancy at best).
And those checks don't happen in baldurs gate (although for sake or reasonableness, ill just say that scar has no problems figuring out that minsc is there).

Invisibility also isnt *Not there* its more like there is an outline that people don't notice unless they look for it or have amazingly high so Scar would hear him, see his outline and aim for the head...
