Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I'm sure of all the other amounts, but not totally sure about week 2...

I'm starting out Survival Hell Mode.  It's like starting 100% fresh except there's no story events, and you can only use adventurers you have the True Cards of (So I'm stuck with just Caillou...)
Oh, you also keep costumer reputation.  Good god, payment #1 is 20,000...

EDIT: Oh, and dungeon progress, though your adventurers start out at level 1 and with no gear, so good luck.

Arrrrrrgh so tough.  I'm gonna need to start a new game+ so I can get a True Card from a character I'm better with.

Mh. I'm nearing the end of week 3 and have run into a bit of trouble.

I've defeated the thief, and she's visited the shop already for story and comes shopping from time to time.
But i can't seem to get the next story event of her to unlock the next dungeon.
Sites told me i'd have to visit the town square in the 1st or 2nd quarter of a day, but i keep meeting the all the customers and the guild boss instead.
Got the mages card and robogirl is visiting my shop already.

Anything else needed to trigger the next dungeon after jade way completion?

If I remeber correctly if you have charme coming into your shop you need to get her happynes up by selling a lot to her until she gives you her card. I think she comes into the shop to tell you about the new dungeon at some point after that.

thx, will try to make the shop a bit darker and get her to visit more often. squeaking by fine without dungeoning for the moment, but the 200k may be tough without higher tier loot.

I've found that the best way to make money in Recettear is to sell stuff cheaply enough so not only you get XP fast but they start liking you more. This way you can sell them expensive stuff. Even to the little girl. Remember you buy already buy stuff with a discount, so you'll be having a profit even you sell at 100% (or even slightly under). Don't try to gouge them for the last pix, at least until they can afford the most expensive thingies in the shop. Selling machines look nice, but they don't increase costumer rep, so don't use them unless they can already afford everything too. Or if you want to sell selling machines, which can only be sold by other selling machines.

Also, adventuring is not really a great money maker, specially in the beginning. You'll make lot's more money managing your shop normally.

The problem is that it costs around two time slices, and you have to pay the adventurer. Unless you can get really good loot, I find more profitable to keep in town, buy stuff low and sell not really high.  :P

Its also risky if you arn't so great with adventuring.  You may well end up coming out of it with 2 loots.

Geh! I'm on the last day before the first payment and PEOPLE WON'T STOP TRYING TO SELL ME STUFF.
I ended up quitting when someone tried to get me to buy a Thankful Statue. You want me to buy 5k item on a payment day? Not fucking likely!

I remember playing this a long time ago. I also remember getting to the point where I had a rather large shop and lots of customers, and then I totally ruined everything by trying to design my shop with fancy things.

From that point on I only had one customer.. who didn't buy anything. And no money because I "invested" all of it in nice looking stuff. I ragequit.

Why do people always try to buy stuff that's too expensive for them? Looking at you, Arma <_<

Also, Prime is a damn cheapskate.

Just offer them 1 pix.  (Q: is pix the singular as well as the plural for the currency?)  Yes, they'll walk out in disgust.  Yes, it's a little hit on their like for you.  But it doesn't really matter in the long run.

Also, I have some suspicion that the game is programmed to offer you stuff on that day.  It's an intentional trap.

Why do people always try to buy stuff that's too expensive for them? Looking at you, Arma <_<

Also, Prime is a damn cheapskate.

Arma's the robot golem girl?  Yeah, she starts out with no budget.  If it's stuff that would benefit her, I'd sell at 5% just to get it into her inventory.  She gets better, she will be a steady 104% near pin soon enough.

Prime is a whiner.  No price is low enough.  Then she will always snicker and say "Sucker!" when she accepts the haggle.  Don't worry about keeping her as a steady customer.

At least Alouette more than compensates for it :D

But really, I'm not bothered by Arma's equipment, since I won't be getting her for a while. Well excuuuuse meee princess, but if you want that armor you should also have the budget for it.
