Well, going to discover the magma sea looks *WAY* too troblesome. I'm going with editing the RAWs.

The magma workshops aren't in the raws, so no amount of editing will make them available - you'd need a special utility program to enable them (by hacking values into the game's memory), and I don't know that said tool is actually available for 0.31 (since you can just dig down to the magma sea instead).

What's so troublesome about digging a staircase straight down for 30+ Z-levels?
