adwarf:The rains begin to fall heavier on the planet's surface. This entices creatures that breed in wet ground and plants that breed in it to thrive and for other creatures to die or adapt. Your species easily adapts to the heavy rains, growing hunched in stature and learning to make buildings to shield them from the rains before anything else. They smoothly progress along their path, first forming a tribal society then more intricate ones. The greatest god in every panthion is the god of water and rain, an angry vengful god. They become adept at feeding on many creatures much small than them, like insects that breed in the muddy ground, and become used to that as a food source over meat or plants. As they progress towards a more medieval castle-esq era they are suddenly and violently wiped out.
Taricus: The wasteland above begins to blossum with life slowly over time, your creatures begin moveing their nests above ground where there is still food but less preditors other than each other to attack them. They continue to slaughter each other but their breeding speeds up a bit becouse not only are there less animals preying on their eggs but they have more and easier food. They progress quickly in science as war is the greatest teacher. They abandon all need for houses or protection as the ground can suit them when needed and their technology revolves around an arms race, constantly trying to find better ways to kill off their rivals for the food. Many hives move back underground with their new weapons and easily destroy their old preditors, but this only makes their numbers boom even more. Soon their world can't take this many of them and the hives are forced to work to find a way off world, to worlds with more food. They find them.
Grek:Your species finds a race of herding crab-like creatures that feed upon the dead. They quickly begin to cultivate these creatures as they provide a good food source and breed fast, along with beging easy to find food for. Over time they lose more than a little of the endurance they had worked up over their millenia of evolution due to haveing an easy food source. They begin warring with one another over these creatures which had become a nessicary part of their lives. War is the greatest teacher and they begin finding new ways to fight one another and to hide themselves and their food from each other, leading to a people who focus more on Gorulla tactics than straight up warfare. They progress quickly and discover new minerals on the ocean floor that can aid in their fighting one another. They progress fast while hidden under the waves but they too are eventuily wiped out suddenly and violently.
Winner:Taricus
Changes:
adwarf-He made his world rain more, his people had no disire for the sky and focused far more on earthly matters for it, they progressed slowly as they had no large reason to fight among one another and eventuily the bugs swarmed their clouded world to feed.
Grek-He made the crab-like creatures that live in herds and eat from the dead for his species to farm. Unforchunately he did say they should come in large numbers, alot of food in large numbers leads to a fast growing species that fights amongst itself and one that needs to hunt far less often, leading to laziness and weakness. They might have evetuilly gotten to the stars if they hadn't be devoured.
Taricus-He made the surface a more fertile place. This gave his species a 'safe' place to move their hives, eggs especially, along with easier to get food sources. This not only gave them safety from preditors but a large food source and the open sky constantly above them. They continued to fight amongst one another as was their nature which improved their weapons quickly, though they had no need of transporation. But their population and weapons grew too large and too good too fast, leading to a food shortage on their world, they where forced to find new ones to feed on. They did.
