THE GRAND ENTRANTSAll two of them. I think that's all who posted the final product? I have the sneaking suspicion that I'm forgetting one, so please tell me if I am. It's been a long month.
Best Name AwardThis goes to White Kitteh for his game Large Burly Croatian Men: Dance in Synchronicity. In it, you play the role of the waterboy for a team of dungeon-delvers, desperately attempting to keep them properly equipped so that they don't all die. And the HUD is damn cool. Give it a try!
Finished, I guess?
I threw in crafting, monsters and what I would guess counts as an ending. I promise neither functionality nor entertainment.
It is your quest to craft the mythical G. Hammer. To do so, you must acquire the hearts of four monsters from the caves of excuseplot. The caves are treacherous and whatnot, so be prepared to hide behind your seven meatshields buddies.
[should be hidden but isn't because the forum doesn't like nested spoilers]
You are the White "@", Your team/allies/dancers are the seven multicoloured "@"s.
Your job on the team is to upgrade and outfit your team's weapons and armour, whilst
keeping them fed and healthy. Of course, they will do everything in their power to
make this as difficult as possible.
First up, almost everything is mouse controlled, except movement which is WASD.
Click-to-Move works, but barely.
Below the map are the "GET", "INV", " > ", and "CFT" buttons. I trust you are able
to figure out GET and INV, ">" will descend staircases.
Craft will allow you to combine two items to create ?better? ones. The entirety of
the crafting system was written in about forty minutes, so there is not much variety in
combinations, But hey, at least I actually did something! (I will most definitely be
reusing/refining it in a later project, I really like how it turned out)
Along the right side of the screen is the little info screen thingies. BULLET POINTS AWAY!
* You can click on their name to change colours.
* W: and A: to change weapons and armour.
* DEFENDING and ATTACKING changes how far they will stray from the player.
* Items will let you trade with them if they are within 5 (4?) tiles from you.
* Skills will inform you of just how badly they will fail at everything.
As for the GRAND PLOT
anyway, I think that is it. ENJOY? Y/N

Most Disturbing Player Action AwardThis goes to Siquo, with his game Pachter. In this game, you play a farmer creating a homestead-town-village thing. It failed the time limit restriction, but it's pretty impressive given the dev time nonetheless!
As for that disturbing content: "FORNICATE (Y/N)?" is probably the only way to make it
creepier better. The rest of the game is not nearly so strange, however! Click that link in the spoiler, brah, and mad props to Siquo!
I'm disqualified. I couldn't even do it in 7 days. Damn you, TF2!
Even though, there we go, I hope it actually works on any machine other than mine:

[spoiler=Manual]Manual:
It's 1400 AD, northwestern Europe. You're controlling a farmer and his wife who leased a piece of land with their last money. Pacht is a form of leasehold that was common in those days, and a Pachter is farmer who "rents" that land. You've got 10 years to make the most of it.
You've got a large meadow, a fishing pond, a forest and a patch of bare limestone on your territory. Use those to your advantage.
There's the following resources: Grain, Vegetable, Wood, Clay, Rock, Food.
Food is made by cooking vegetables or baking bread from grain (wheat).
Tips:
Start by gathering some wood, and use that to build a fireplace. You need it to be able to bake and cook. Next, go into the forest and find some wild grains and vegetables. Build a plot, and plant them. After a while, you'll be able to harvest them, replant them or cook them. Going hungry is very bad, so first get that food-supply running before you expand.
Building more rooms will allow you to "create" more farmers. No, the scenes are not explicit.
A note about jobs: Planting, Harvesting, Cooking and Gathering all do a maximum of 5 items. So to plant 15 vegetables, you have to do the plant vegetable command 3 times. Also, keep your plots small. Your farmer will continue to till the soil even when hungry, severely dropping your score.
Unimplemented:
The jobs menu shows you the job queue and a rough percentage of completion per active job. There's no job canceling or prioritising, yet.
The score menu and people menu don't exist, yet.
Scoring:
Your people like walking around. Doing nothing will increase your score. Idlers also get hungry twice as slow.
Your people hate going hungry. Hungry people will turn red and your score will drop significantly. Cook some food already.
Rock and Clay are useless, for now.
You get scorepoints for Grain, Vegetables (in your house, not in your fields!), Buildings and Plots.
You get scorepoints for having a bigger family.
Good luck. (well not really, there's hardly any randomness in the whole game, if you lose, it's because you played bad)
There we go! Load those two up, have some fun, and then join us over in the
March thread, which is a Festival because this isn't really a contest. See you there!
