Lord Aule (how do I get two dots above the u?) should be on the dwarf side obviously, according to Tolkin he made the dwarves.
He is the 'god' of earth, stone, gems, tools, etc.

Note:
In addition to Lord Aule being on the dwarf side, if David Bowie is on elf side so should Dead Bowie. Captian Hammer should also be an elf, since even with the dwarfy name he's more like an elf than a dwarf. Dr. Horrible should be on dwarf side since he makes inpractical weaponry that tends to hurt him more than help him.

Another suggestion would be Kratos for the dwarves, call me crazy but he just strikes me as more of a dwarf than an elf.
