7 vs 7 was perhaps a bit excessive to start out with.

I thought that rule only applied to magma.

I am predicting we will be at turn 10 by next year, +/- 2 turns.

I was getting a trifle irritated with the rather annoying chokepoints on this map. I was hoping you were somewhat distracted by the brawl in the middle there.

Thats the trick with this map, you need to know where the chockpoints are and where to lead away the attention of your opponent. I thought it would be a very interesting map to try out some basic zone control...

You had control of the center for a while there, but you chose to focus on air over sea, leading to the fact you can easily lose that zone. It was an interesting attack on the right there, but none the less when it came down to it, putting your Tank to the front was a bad move. With this, your recon action was a good choice for a forerunner but after it should have been some rockets and perhaps some airsupport. With this you could have cleared the area for your Tanks to move in quickly...

Also the fact that you chose to spawn some Copters over land units kinda was a fault for the Center. Battleships can't target Air, as soon as all possible targets were removed, I could easily move them to the right for support in clearing your ranged units...

My playing YoYo games with the battleships gave me control of the center, and using an Aircraft carrier as a midpoint for my Transports gives me an additional staging point for safety for bringing my infantry in, as you couldn't target the Transports while they were docked on the Carrier....

Plus also, I have been wondering. As you haven't used it once at all...
You do know how to use CO powers right???

Yes, I'm just incredibly indecisive on when I should or shouldn't use them. My CO is very terrain oriented, my CO powers let all my units travel across any terrain (within reason; no tanks in water) for a cost of one MP, and add to my attack and defense, as usual. I've just never seen anywhere it would be particularly handy.

If anything, the Bonus to your attack and defense is worth it at the very least...

It was a good game, but why didn't you push when you had captured the center???

I tried. You kept blowing up my bombers, remember?

I'm actually quite surprised at how well I did. I used to be absolutely terrible at Advance Wars, holding off someone who knows what they're doing for nearly 50 days is an achievement.

Indeed, it also came to my own remembering of how to move and attack that affected me the most too.
The bombers though was not really enough, you should have been pushing down the bridges with tanks and attacking with the bombers to clear the way. Using coptors to scout would also have helped. You could have been constantly buzzing my ships with the Coptors too, which would have lead to my actions changing, and if you had built a couple of rockets for the center Island to do some ranged damage back at the Ships that could have helped. The action of Kiting them by making me go back and forth between the bridges while pushing through the middle too...

The only thing that kinda saved me was the single GTA Missile Launcher I built, taking that out would have given you the edge, and notice how when I have a unit over your factories and such, I can't build. Sneaking a Coptor onto my Factory would have slowed my defence to a point of nothing because I had little to no Air defense.

I'm up. You can choose the map, but I'd prefer no powers.
