If it's not too late, requesting entry, and hoping that I don't live up to my name.

Not too late, I might start tomorrow, We have plenty of nauts and I'll add random bay12ers so should be fine.

Ok the current plan.

We go for a safe explorer(orbital satellite) launch, we might be behind the soviets but it will be safe.
We got for a safe Mercury(manned) launch, we research everything well and launch the capsule unmanned a few times to make sure its safe, then procede to manned launches.

I will put down a more detailed launch plan when I start the game, which may be in a few hours.

*signups for nasa will be closed after this!

**The goal of this game is to get firsts, or seconds at best. So the first manned launch, first satellite, first two man launch, first eva etc etc. You get less points for a second, but still worthwhile(and necessary).

Inspirational speech by our president Kennedy:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ouRbkBAOGEw&list=FLmKSNMHvxJ0KW9fRpfX4tQw&index=48&feature=plpp_video

So often this speech is quoted, so often is it put in full context of the speech.
This is the full speech, pretty long. 17 Mins.
