Kobolds in the Tundra
« on: March 23, 2008, 03:31:00 pm »

In my fortress in the tundra, when caravans come around, I also find random kobold corpses near the edges of the map. One time, I saw a kobold corpse randomly pop up out of nowhere. It's sort of strange to see the kobold come out of hiding, only to die. There were no soldiers or hostile wildlife in the area, which makes me believe the kobolds have died from exposure to cold... if so, shouldn't the kobolds not have even made it to the tundra in the first place?

They forgot their sealed hazmat suits with built in tail warmer and cloaking shields.

If your site straddled two world map square biomes (even if they were both tundra), the local variations in temperature could have confused them.

Yep, there are two biomes there. Thanks for explaining it!
