Someone needs to make the first dwarven disco club with those flashing tiles.

About to try.

I'm ready for Faint Yellow Diamonds replacing my rock.

Made some changes to my default_entity.txt

Now wolves maintain their own fortresses, and dwarves are now creating cities in the coastal areas. Elves are now using metal equipment and populating mountains here and there.

It's not limited to creature raws, either.
Duplicating some language raws leads to this:

As an adventurer I've got disco tiles, a forgotten beast kidney tissue breastplate and 5 forgotten beasts in my inventory as food. Oh, and the only available races were reptile men and amphibian men.

Edit: Just went wandering on an epilepsy field and picked up raw adamantite and some gems. I'm interested to see what else is majorly fucked up in this world.

i've tried to replace [PET_EXOTIC] tag with [PET] and forgot to move the backup files (file.txt.bckp) to another folder. Strangely, that resulted in a world populated by hippos, carp, milkfish and longnose gars. i couldn't start a fort because it crashed the game, but in adventure mode it was fun to play as a hippo and see all that fish airdrown in the first few seconds.
the game surely works through some sort of magic

I got a cutebold adventurer. Started in a gremlin village, i spent my first steps gathering steel and cotton candy for the furrowed fancy fields.
Now that's some Dwarfy fields. Also, harvested a "slade" that weighs 400 urists

I copied some raws in the folder, but nothing happened. I must be doing something wrong.

If copy pasting an entire file isn't working for you, try copy pasting one entry of a file into a different file.
Worked for me :)

You can't control it. You may end up with dogs wearing armor, or something more ˇˇFUNˇˇ
Like fire snake leather shoes. Well, ˇˇFire snake leather shoesˇˇ

I can just imagine dwarfs walking around with livers on their hands.
In fact, with dwarfs, it seems rather natural
