Come on, you're obviously a girl. Everyone knows it.

Anyways, put me in line for a city.

Muahahahaha.

yes ofcourse how could ihave forgot?

Anyways, Jamini, I thought you were supposed to be impartial.  Why are knocking sense into the stickmen regarding slavery?  I would be more than happy to let them stick with no slavery. :P
Not that Winthur wasn't going to manage it on his own...

Anyway, for tech I think I'll go Wheel->Pottery->Writing, and we'll see from there.

Oh, and I'd totally be on board for some FFH fun.

Because this is a community play, not a let's play. But yeah; she has a lot of influence, what with the wall-ish text and experience.
...what.
blarg I don't know for some reason I had it in my head you were a girl.

Since I'm all confused about this I'll just let what I said be.

Can I stand in line for a city too? A funded one, so I can explain to our stick friends how any city is founded by 7 dwarves on a broken chariot.

I'm back, Arisia was more draining than I thought it would be and since internet was more daily at the hotel than I would pay MONTHLY here I chose to pass on it for the duration. I start reviewing things right away and have a post up soon.

Kamina: I AM neutral. However that doesn't mean I can't make suggestions just like anyone else involved. Good advice is good advice, despite where it goes, and I've been giving it out to each group as equally as I can. (Plus as Host of a LP it is my job to try and help teach others how to play better, as well as better myself.) Ultimately such decisions are not mine to make regardless.

Just a casual observer providing input. I haven't played Civ 4, but I did like Civ 3 very much.

If   the Incas are going to be wonder spamming, is time of the essence?   Wouldn't it be ideal to rush them just as they finished their first   wonder?

As a matter of fact, YES IT IS.

The passive defense of a city is determined by its culture. The More culture a city has, the harder it is to take. Reducing the passive defense of a city requires Bombarding, which requires catapults (and is really not a rush.) As it is, Hayuna has a holy city for his capital, which is already a +20% defense bonus. If you want to take him out early, you will need to rush or wait for Catapults. That's, quite frankly, a fact.

Quote
What makes you think that they'll be wonder spamming?

In my experience, that is precisely what the Inca do. Hayuna is very like Louis: builds tons of wonders, love religions, and has no issue with DoWing if things don't go his way.

Kamina and Myroc: You are aware that we do not have The Wheel, and it will take 22 turns to research. Correct? We are going to lose out on several turns of production by not settling on the copper, enough for 2-3 Axemen at least. (20 turns for the wheel, 6-8 for the road.  Another 20 or so to connect it to the capital.) Conversely, since Jags don't require any resources going straight for IW would net us the ability to produce our Swordsmen unit in our capital and Axes close to the front: a dangerous combo for poor Hayuna.

Sonovacrap, they have figured out one of our great secrets! What are we to do now?

Starting this rounds turnset. I apologize if I get any orders wrong.

**********
Turnset
**********
Turn 122

We discover the secrets of COPPER.
One of our alchemists locked himself into a room while acting slightly fey. Despite predictions of his impending death, he emerged alive with a new item we have never seen before. Sharp and heavy, it combines the power of a club and the cutting strength of a bone knife into a powerful whole that is capable of dominating any warrior with a simple club or unarmed. The Alchemist refers to it as... an Axe! Additionally, they can be dually used to cut back at the vicious trees that encroach our fortresses year after year!

Our greatest smiths have begun mass-producing these axes for military and civilian use. Creation is slow now, thanks to an overall lack of suitible materials to work with, but there is a deposit of copper to the far west which we believe should suffice later on.

Warrior finished, Settler started
Hayuna has started Masonry.
Ghandhi has founded Judaism

Turn 124
Our second scout got eaten by another lion. Goddamnit. Stupid wildlife! -.-

130
We viciously chop up a pair of forests next to the city.  The Settler has only six turns until production now.

131
We are greeted by a warrior from Mao Zedong right outside of our capital.

134
Joao of the Portuguese has adopted Slavery.

136
A Settler is finished in Boatmurdered, work starts on Worker

139
I took this opportunity to take up Slavery. Being spiritual, there is no Anarchy for swapping over. If you don't want to use it, don't.

140
Bay12: Founded our second city, I've taken the liberty of naming it Nist Ankath. Work Immediately begins on the adjacent copper mine.
Began production of a Monument in Nist Ankah. The Tribal leader there has started calling it "The Hammer" for some strange reason.

I am beginning to get worried that everyone forgot/stopped caring about this game suddenly. What's with the no-posting?

I'm doing the turnset now.

Myroc, if you or any of the tribal leaders wish to USE slavery to hurry production, let me know. Right now I will refrain from using it, but we will be hitting the happy cap in the capital soon so it may become prudent.
