Carry on my wayward son!

That's a nice spot with pigs and wheat. Shame about the desert. =/

Are we going to do something with that stone?

That stone is in a really poor spot for a new city, and our capital won't get it for a while.

I did another ten turns of scouting, hugging the northern coast. The local wildlife decided our scout was tasty around turn 16 or so. He fended off two wolves and leveled (I promoted him to Guerrilla 1, to facilitate scouting. Normally I'll let you pick promotions, but as you can see it wont matter much at the start of next turn anyway. X.X)

Stupid bears. Hate them so much.

Lots of fur to our north, but not much else. Terrible terrible land. Across the desert is much better.

It LOOKS like we're on a small island / peninsula.

And are you sure our scout can't survive that bear? >;

Let's hope that there's somebody to the south to fight. Grinding for iron working just to find we have nobody to fight would be very ironic.

Well, we're at the north end of the map, we haven't seen the bottom half of whatever we're on, but it doesn't look like it's going to taper off, so I'm guessing we're at the very top of a main continent. Hopefully there will be someone south of us, yep. :<

Ugh, this map sucks. Tundra to the north and desert to the south. And the worst part is the capital placement actually is kinda poor. I'd of rather it been a bit further south. Now we're going to have a city stuck with a bunch of desert. Then again, I don't think a few turns of moving would be worth it anyways, so whatever. Once the worker's done, build another scout, I guess. The capital's gonna suck since it'll either have mediocre production or mediocre great people making. Either way I'm not a huge fan to be honest, but whatever, it'll at least be a mediocre producer.

Worker should improve the cows, then dump a bunch of mines on the hills, preferably the ones without the forests first so we can save the chopping for important things, or mine any hills with iron/copper if any of the nearby them turn out to have those. Or work horses, if we have nearby horses, but I'm not holding my breath for strategic resources.

The next city will probably be on the tile a knight's move away from the cow, straight west from the capital. I'll draw a circle around it later, right now I'm in a hurry. More than enough grassland there to cottage spam, although there's lots of desert. It's fine, since the alternative is lots of mountains and I'd rather have desert than mountains since at least the desert might have resources later on (especially oil!)

Rename the capital Boatmurdered.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

Round 3

A slow round, since the bear slaughtered our poor scout. The only really notable thing that happened was a distant land discovering Buddhism on turn 28, and our worker (which we can't use) getting created on turn 30. He's waiting for AH to finish in 12 turns. The Scout will take 15 turns.

Round 4

Another slow round, the only notable thing was Hinduism getting founded in turn 35. I promise more update-worthy stuff in Round 5!

Yeah, this is why I never build workers first thing I do at the start of the game, since without any technologies, they don't have anything to do. They just stand around there, taunting you for not letting your city grow first.

Lots of good new everybody!
Round 5

Current Orders
Chief Deus ex Mechnia

Follow coast in both direction with scout.

Keeper Mr. Person
Boatmurdered: Scout(Finished) -> No Order (Building Warrior)
Worker: Cows -> Mine Hills (We don't have mining yet, btw)

Alchemist KaminaSquirtle
Animal Husbandry(complete) -> Fishing -> Mining -> Bronze Working -> Iron Working

Bard Dwarf Miget

No Orders

****************************
Round Report
****************************
Turn 42 - We discover Animal Husbandry.
Work Immediately begins on our cow tile. It will be finished in fourteen turns.
We also have horse to the north in the tundra near some deer and fur. It MIGHT be worth it to put a city up there, with so many resources.

Turn 45 - Work finishes on our scout. Without orders I default to creating a Warrior. The scout continues the last orders that Deus gave and begins to scout south along the coast.

Turn 50 - Well well, we found somone else on our little continent. Who it is I can't say, we didn't get quite close enough before the round ended.

Some wine near the FPs. We might manage to get an okayish commerce city going there with some effort. It would be a bit far though. Perhaps settling on the desert would be better? We don't have a ton of options here.

At any rate. I need build orders from Mr. Person and scouting instructions from Deus for the next few turns.

In Turn 51 when I hit end turn we got a list of the Wealthiest civs. We were not actually ON it, so I felt no need posting.

END OF TURN REPORT

Cow Improvement - 4 turns

Boatmurdered -
Groth 13 Turns
Warrior 10 Turns

Currently working - Forested Grassland. 2F 1H

Research- Fishing. 12 Turns.

Diplomacy and Espionage - Soon

Scout - Reborn and Alive. Near undiscovered Civ.

Explore out the boundaries of the undiscovered civ. Then follow the coastline.

What is the population of the capital?  That may effect whether it would be wise to build a new city.
