How to leave the historical events unrevealed
« on: January 03, 2011, 11:27:07 am »

Hi, I'd like to play an adventure mode in a way where my heroes would reveal the historical facts? How can I set up a world where the History would be hidden? I have read in the wiki that there is an option "Reveal all history" which is to be set to NO.

The closest thing I could fint to this is in \data\init\world_gen.txt, but there I find not one, but many such thing which should be set to no. Which one shall I set to 0? (I suppose "0" means "NO"). All of them? How do I know which inits the game chooses when it makes a new world?:

   [TITLE:LARGE ISLAND]

   [REVEAL_ALL_HISTORY:1]

I replaced "[REVEAL_ALL_HISTORY:1]" by "[REVEAL_ALL_HISTORY:0]" in world_gen.txt and generated a new world. When I open it in the Legends mode, it still says "Historical Events left to discover: 0".

What am I doing wrong?

When you start go to "generate new world with advanced parameters"
Set "reveal all history" to no.

Ah, yes, that's it. Thanks. Those values I changed in world_gen.txt were just presets to choose from when I do this advanced and parametized world creation.

But I don't see any of the parameters I can select when creating a world nomally, like number of civilizations, savagery, depth of history. (I particularly miss the 1050 of world history). Is there a way to set this up in the advanced generation mode?

I guess it's in all thos other options written in world_gen.txt. Ok then.

Press e on the advanced world creation screen. You will begin editing the set of perameters you have selected.

Yeah. Just look through the list, all the options should be there.
