SpaceChem - Delicious Machinery!
« on: January 02, 2011, 10:13:19 am »

So Zach has made another masterpiece in the same vein as The Bureau and the codex. It's called SpaceChem, and it went on sale yesterday. I bought it and so far it is amazing.

There's also a demo-

The demo links are on the right side...

Finshed the demo already. Would buy it if it was cheaper. My max price at the moment is 10 bucks.

I do like the game very much though...

The later levels are fiendish... maybe you're better off not buying it...

I hate these ones with the different input molecules, ie 67% A    33% B

I do enjoy this game, but some of these are mindbending.

Demo was awesome, I recommend anyone who liked previous Zachtronic games (especially the Alchemy ones) to buy it. I'll probably do so eventually.

To be honest it looks boring as fuck.

It certainly isn't a game for everyone, but it isn't boring to me. Have you tried the demo? Demo had me hooked on the 2nd planet really, and now that I'm getting to the more advanced stuff in the game it's really getting good. I enjoy mind-bending puzzles and stuff though. It certainly has a niche appeal, not designed for the drooling masses.

It took me a while to realize the bond instruction didn't have to be located on the bonders.

heh even the molecules that come into it are unnessecary complex :)

Oh and totally agree with "must get full version"! As for those who think this is boring (without playing demo) try it. If you tried it and it's still boring then this is not a game for you. I suppose the zachtronix motto: "games for engineers" says a lot :)

Wow. I usually go for clever and efficient, so that reaction kind of hurts me inside.
