It is dead, can no longer be joined, and I don't know if it even has any members. The leaders stopped playing, most of the others in the empire stopped playing, and then the capital and many of its other colonies were taken by PTMC (and if anyone else took any, who knows if anyone would have noticed or cared after that).

Losing the capital was kind of fatal, since until tonight, it was the final spawnpoint if you lost your ship and whatever city you had set as a spawnpoint. The latest update changes things so that you will respawn on another colony in the empire (instead of being kicked from the empire if you have nowhere to respawn) so long as the empire has another colony.

I'm getting hit by the "Can't enter the game itself" bug that was such a problem way back when. I'm just trying over and over to get even one player but it isn't working! :(

I'll give it a couple more tries before I give up.

Managed to get in as a new empire. Targoss was an ass though and forgot to drop his torch and his clothing when I stabbed him to death, so I'm stuck without light and I forwent a flag in favor of some nice fabric clothing.

Oppulence. I has it. Too bad I do not have a torch.

Also trees are surprisingly hard to find on my new world. strange.

I was thinking of playing a bit myself, but this time I think I'd rather be part of an empire from the start.

If people are interested, I could probably bring a stack of techdisks from my old empire. I haven't checked in to the game at all for months, but I think I left a few useful techs running.

Basically, there are several carrier ships in space, loaded with starfighters. People grab a fighter, take off, and it's every man(so the speak) for himself. Fighting onboard the carriers themselves is forbidden, from what I've heard, camping the launch bays and even shooting down the carriers themselves is allowed.

Fortunately, you don't need logs to start a city. Or plant fiber, for that matter. Animals can be killed, and turned into meat, leather, and bones(and you can get all three at once if you use a knife). The leather can be turned into textiles, and the bone into a sewing needle. Of course, it may be easy to find a tree than to catch some critter in this game's lag.

Joined up a little while ago, started ,a new empire, and just found my first ringworld!  Also got my universities to TL32, so I'd say I'm doing alright.  However, looking at the 3D galaxy viewer, The Eternal Lantern is way out in the boonies (96,2,0).

Little question, if a ringworld supports 1000 pop per zone, what happens if a city sits at the border between two zones?

Having trouble reclaiming one of my systems from the Toucanites due to f#%king connection issues. It pisses me off to no end.
