Yes, they also knew the SD was a big group (which I'm not even part of, by the way) and a statement like "Sorry guys, we saw you were mostly inactive and we decided to take the opportunity to expand. It's part of the game, so take it to the game." would have kept a lot of grief and whining at bay. Pun intended. :P

How many times do I have to say it? We do not attack little empires.

Honestly, I had little part in the "diplomacy" in all this, because people insist on QQing and trolling and counter-trolling faster than I care to keep up.

Yeah. Been tending to my own empire, as I don't know what the situation is around your empire, or where to expand, so I've not done anything but construct a moon base in the capitol system.

I think taxes got nerfed or something, my capitol is now reporting about 5,000 total income. Used to be around 30,000.

I'll look into it when I've got some free time.

Urrgghhh. Finally bit the bullet and reinstalled this game today. But whenever my mouse so much as touches the border of the window, my entire system's input seems to lock up and the ONLY way I can get any control back is by hitting Ctrl+Esc. Even taskmanager can't break through the impenetrable forcefield Hazeron creates!

I installed the normal Windows client + patch file from the downloads section. What do? Is it because my system is 64-bit and they have no 64-bit Windows version?

No, you would be in trouble if they had a 64 bit version and your processor was 32 bit.

As it is that cant be the problem.

As I understand it, you're not supposed to apply the patch if you freshly downloaded the client, only to outdated clients from before the latest update. That could be your problem.

Try using the unpatched client.

Thanks Tres, I'll try that. The wording on the download page is incredibly confusing. I also could not look around once I did manage to get ingame, so I'm hoping that's the root of both issues.

Edit: No-go. A helpful person ingame told me that hitting Ctrl will temporarily let me look around, but as soon as the cursor bug hits again (and it hits every time I open a menu, or select an item...) all input stops responding again until I unstick it with ctrl+esc, which opens my Start menu, which I then have to close and then switch back ingame which has a 50% chance of causing the bug to occur again immediately.

So I guess I can't play just now. I failed at butchering an animal carcass because with all the extra fumbling and window-switching, I managed to eat it instead. Definitely an unplayable state, so I'll just try again some other time. x)

I have that same problem every few patches.  Not having it right now, thank Satan.

I had that problem too, a few days later it went away. No idea what causes it.

The Mouse Glitch of Doom is an evil bug that disappears for a few patches, then returns for a couple more. Haxus knows about it, but seems to never be able to get rid of it for everyone. All we can do is ctrl alt delete, alt tab, ctrl esc, and various other things. Sometimes you're forced to restart Shores by killing it's process. When it's in full force (like, as bad as it is for you Moogie) the best option is to go play something else for a bit and try back again.
Oh, sometimes restarting your computer can help a lot. As can keeping your RAM usage around/under 50-60%. Once it hits 80% roughly the mouselock glitch seems to get exponentially worse.
I've been getting and reporting that damn bug since about a month after I started playing.
