Hoo, I guess it's finally time for me to get back in- I REALLY like that update page!

Is there an empire I ought to join or would I be better off just striking it out on my own?

Latest patch so far seems to make limbo widespread (at least after going thru wormholes).  Could start an empire and keep to same system for now while its being fixed most likely.

I wasn't even in a wormhole.  Just sitting docked at an airport in my ship.  Then I installed the new optional update and suddenly I couldn't load the character.

I managed to load the others just fine but the ship builder is broken and my limboed character is the only one with a ship.

Could join Tymas Confederation, if you like big empires. Started out from Bay12 originally, though at this point we have a bit of everyone.

It'd be nice to see SD revive though.

Is it possible to play single player? I'd like to explore the game all alone with noone bothering me before I decided if I wanna join.

A thread with screenshots are great...I could get some, if I get a reply and decide to download it.

I'm still not limbo'd, having not installed the patch or touched the ship designer, and my ship that pre-dates these problems is functioning normally. That seems to be the only way to avoid limbo currently.

There've been reports that even going to other systems causes limbo, but I've been busy with one system.

Read my tutorial on the hazeron forums; it has plenty of screenshots and how to play (though still outdated, waiting on full module implementation to update).  In any case, you basically start single player in a new empire, and depending on who is near you, you might stay that way for quite awhile.

Yeah, most people aren't very aggressive. You shouldn't find it hard to play unmolested.

More worried about the fact the server keeps going down and kicks everyone off and won't let them log back in. My alt, Cthulu, is now in limbo. HE MUST nOT BE CAGED
