Bases are semi-operational now, though that was in place slightly before the reset.  The big changes are listed on the changelog on the game's homepage, but the biggest one is probably that the TL limitations of ships are now based on weight, rather than the number of equipment units and volume.  There are still lag issues, though they seem different now.

...I'm going to try offline-deadheading my ship toward the new part of the SD empire now and go to bed.  Just because I can.

I think you will need a officer with you for that, when you're offline and slowburn, the ship hits 'darkmatter', IIRC.

I will be on soon by the way, my city must be crying for fire stations now :p

The guys are really building it up and helping each other, just join Worst.Empire.Ever and try to get Paul's attention so he can invite you to the true empire :)

Speaking of, they're back up already. At least their server restarts are quick these days.

692 is not many planet peoples. at all.
Unless the planets have shrunk in the year or so I've not been successfully on.

Actually after the reset they made almost everything 20% bigger, and they lowered the population cap.
Back then, I'd need at least 2k+ people to get a -8 penalty to overpopulation.
This is dumb... Paul, are my planet (Tranquility IV) Habitable or Inner?
If it's Inner, I can understand it's sucky nature (of materials and pop. cap)...but if it's habitable, I'll have to send an email to the devs..700 pop in a earthlike planet?
(Actually, I can't even reach 700.)

Yes, I'm THAT frustrated.

Maybe Hax has in mind that researching techs can raise that cap.. sounds reasonable and fun too since TL32 is max and takes some time to get to.

True, hahaha didn't remember that.

Also, I thought about something really smart today.

If I name a Sector "Orgasm", would people say stuff like "Hey, I just reached Orgasm" or "We're at the Orgasm Sector, let's keep going" and even "Please, make me get to Orgasm!"?

Btw I really think we shouldn't talk about empire's plans, or any intel here.
People are really spreading intel around (of all kinds) so we either need an IRC or a private forum (didnt we have those back then? hmm)

I've got a forum that was being used to plan the insurgency against the PTMC, and an associated IRC channel. I can easily set up another forum and dedicated IRC channel for us to use.

EDIT: Forum has been made, basic startup crap has been done. Link has been PM'd to our esteemed leader to share as he sees fit.

To-do list will be forthcoming on the forum.
